Good luck with that. Anyone who thinks there has ever been, or ever will be, integrity and honesty in politics, needs their head examined (and their eyesight and hearing.)

Whilst there have always been some doubtful characters I also believe that the majority have always been decent, honest people whose motivation is to serve their constituents and their country.

That's not though the case with the current PM, who appears to believe the rules don't apply to him. I have personal experience of one of his blatant lies which has cost me £10,000 and no amount of reasoning with civil servants has shifted the position. It's now with the Ombudsman and may end up going to court.

This cannot continue. The man is an embarrassment.

Johnson is in a much lower league than Trump, although they do share some similarities.

Johnson can at least be amusing. He is just a buffoon. Trump is a charismatic, dangerous imbecile.

Trump chucked bombs all over the place.

It goes with the job.

Your input confirms that Trump was good for the West.

It's all going so well under Biden.

Really? Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia are all havens of peace?

This is another myth being fed to the impressionable Trumpkins in the USA via relentless misinformation campaigns. It's regrettable that some here appear to be influenced by them. For an alternative view, try reading this:-

A progressive left wing website is hardly going to be unbiased bastion of truth.
These dropkicks are well known in NYC, they had an office an avenue over between 6th & 7th on the same street as my Ink/paper & vinyl supplier.
Never made a penny in profit and evicted for non payment of rent on the office they leased. I remember reading it in the New York Post 5/6 years ago.
About as reliable as the Daily Mail to be fair....

With the US I'd say the real concern is extreme polarisation (unnecessary and stoked by various actors) and the instability it causes. Those profiting still profit though, and so this isn't really damaging anyone that matters thus far. It certainly impacts their standing on the world stage, but the military might of the states is still something that's hard to look past.

What, he didn't make you Lord Wisbelch?

I did suggest that as a staunch defender of the establishment he should have been recognised in the New year's Eve honours list.

I remain truly sorry that a blatant lie from the PM cost you £10,000. In fact, I would go as far as to say I am furious.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
