Good luck with that. Anyone who thinks there has ever been, or ever will be, integrity and honesty in politics, needs their head examined (and their eyesight and hearing.) Whilst there have always been some doubtful characters I also believe that the majority have always been decent, honest people whose motivation is to serve their constituents and their country. That's not though the case with the current PM, who appears to believe the rules don't apply to him. I have personal experience of one of his blatant lies which has cost me £10,000 and no amount of reasoning with civil servants has shifted the position. It's now with the Ombudsman and may end up going to court. This cannot continue. The man is an embarrassment.

Johnson is in a much lower league than Trump, although they do share some similarities. Johnson can at least be amusing. He is just a buffoon. Trump is a charismatic, dangerous imbecile.

Your input confirms that Trump was good for the West. It's all going so well under Biden.

And yet we had no conflict when he as in office. Really? Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia are all havens of peace? This is another myth being fed to the impressionable Trumpkins in the USA via relentless misinformation campaigns. It's regrettable that some here appear to be influenced by them. With the US I'd say the real concern is extreme polarisation (unnecessary and stoked by various actors) and the instability it causes. Those profiting still profit though, and so this isn't really damaging anyone that matters thus far. It certainly impacts their standing on the world stage, but the military might of the states is still something that's hard to look past.

In fact, I would go as far as to say I am furious.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
