I think this could be a bit of deja vu. Poor decision making, poor end product, inconsistent...lets sell him to Everton for £40m if they come back in...Wilf can do a "Bolasie" and get found out and then shipped out. Sadly correct.

Like last season just gone? He was poor. All those back passes as soon as he received the ball. Often only one man on him. Then the occasions when pva is free on an overlap, Wilf ignores him and loses the ball into his marker. Or the January period when he protected himself. Football has changed. Keeping problem people doesn’t work any more, especially at their value and the opportunity cost in having them still around. Hrolf, he sulked like I said he would and you disagreed. Now you’re saying he won’t again. I wasn’t completely right because I said sell at £60-65 mil, but we only received the Arsenal bid of £45 mil spread over 750 transfer windows. We won’t ever hear of anything near £65mil now. What has made me laugh though are the people ssyiwe should’ve sold, but conveniently forgetting the only bid from Arsenal. Parish would’ve looked a right tw&t and been lynched by fans, and more than a few flying pies at half time. I don’t think anyone can say for certain that this was the case because a number of other articles have said we received two bids from Everton, both of which were for more than the Arsenal offer, one of them considerably more. Now I’m not saying we did, because I don’t know, but with equal measure I’m not saying we didn’t, because there are a number of firm reports stating that we did. I didn't want him to go last summer. If it's the 19/20 Zaha, and that's all he feels like doing from now on, I'm fairly happy using his wages and transfer fee to give a couple of other players a go. If the last 8 games are anything to go by, him playing at that form and no investment elsewhere sends us down so if the club feels confident that's all we'll get from him, it doesn't feel quite as risky. This ^^^ 100%

The club will have a price in mind but a chunk of that will go to United thus making his value that much greater as a player as opposed to taking the money. I agree about him probably being the most talented player we’ve ever had but he’s just not produced it of late. One can only survive on past greatness for so long and with this past seasons performances and product that has taken a massive hit. You can have all the talent in the world but if you’re no longer utilising it... He can be good for us if he refinds his mojo but is that actually likely to happen? We know what he’s like!

So they might have bid once then? And if they did they left it at that when we turned down their first offer? Because of course a club are only ever going to make one bid and not follow it up again if the first approach has been turned down. There could be any number of reasons why Everton (or any club for that matter) unsuccessful with the pursuit of a player, are going to conduct matters in private and not be entirely open and transparent with what actually went on, if and when it doesn’t come off. How many times have we heard managers and clubs deny any interest in a player...only to Sign them A few days later? Why are there so many ‘Undisclosed Fees’ as well if clubs are happy for everyone to know the full details of bids and transfer dealings? Transfer negotiations can be very smoke and mirrors so we have to be open minded about what may or may not have gone on and to say categorically that we only ever received one firm bid from Arsenal for £45M last summer is I believe in all probability, not the case, especially when more than one sports writer are on record with specific details that would indicate otherwise.

Looks like Zaha is going nowhere. Willian to Arsenal on a free means they do no need him. Seems like nobody else does. Everton may but would he sway one mid table club for another and take a drop in wages. Sadly we are lumbered with him and he with us.

Zero Plus none need him .. they have it covered, even his beloved Arsenal. Unless a European team stumps up the cash of Wilf takes a big whack on his take home, I think he blew it with his going through the motion antics instead of showcasing himself after lockdown. A real shame for both club and Wilf , we need the cash and Wilf wants to go, tbh I can’t any serious offers coming in.
