I suppose at least 2 questions are - If he went to Leicester or Everton, would he still be king ? Or what would he be worth if he became an integral part of Sandcastles rebuild program ? He is young enough for them to build a team around him, or are they more likely to go directly for more high profile names in a bid to get (buy) success faster ?

He’d be crazy going there. Plus he’s a sw london boy and as the commentator on stream kept saying Selhurst is deafening plus it’s warm compared to the north. Not sure they would take to him up there. But why risk it? He’s loving life with us. To be honest I'm not a religious man, but I'm praying we get at least a shot at signing him. However I just can't see it. He's basically the finished article for all intents and purposes, he's off the chart talented with a massive motor and I can't see him not being a fit in almost any team out there. Going for us however.... 1 - He's a local lad. 2 - He genuinely seems to love being out there playing for us. 3 - He's guaranteed gametime 4 - Maybe. Just maybe we might be able to shake off the "they'll be lucky to avoid a relegation scrap" label, and represent a credible mid table and higher option for decent players to come to.

To be honest I'm not a religious man, but I'm praying we get at least a shot at signing him.

The fact that he’s settled so we’ll and is loving life in red and blue gives us a really good chance of being first in line if his Chelski pathway is blocked by the numerous multimillion pound players they have stockpiled. He’s only got to look at Gilmore to appreciate the value of being at the right club at the right time for his development.

I do wonder if he was gay if he signed for us he would definitely be supported by the fans, not sure at Chelsea that would be true as they see him as a fringe player so not worth the agro?.
