All three judges had Ortiz up.

58-56, 59-55, and 59-55.

How can one judge only have Ortiz by two rounds?! He won the first 6 for me!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Pretty much....I think I gave him one round and one even.

Wilder is all about that punch and little else.....but to be fair to him it's one helluva punch.

I gave him rounds 1-5 with round 6 even.

Lasts nights display by LO would have beaten most of the other top ten rated heavyweights. Fantastic boxing ability. Crafty, good at judging the range, he impressed my hugely.

Because it's bent.
Really don't know the answer because the money at stake means it is,always has,and probably always will be open to corruption.

I agree with you 100% re scoring. It’s even worse in the amateurs. I have seen my son and some of his mates be literally robbed before in favour of the home fighter.

The only thing I would argue re the scoring though is that us the viewers can sometimes be taken in by the comments of whoever is commentating. I think it’s actually quite easy to be slightly influenced by a so called expert who for whatever reason, appears to favour a certain fighter.

Totally agree mate.
Did you see what i posted earlier about the Olympics.
If that's not an admission of guilt by a governing body i dont know what is.
As for the pros , maybe have a body like the anti doping agencies that independently appoint judges.?
All that will do though is make promoters and handlers more conservative in the matches they make, so they dont risk losing.
Golden boy top of that list.

The real sad part is that it’s so widespread and historic that it’s an accepted part of the sport.

It’s totally accepted that if a foreigner fighters a German in Germany for instance then he will only win if its a knock out.

The point you make regarding the Olympic judges pretty much sums it up. Some of the scoring was so off the mark it was unbelievable.

It does need changing though.
GGG v Alvarez first fight.
The bird that gave canelo the fight by a stupid amount should never have been allowed to judge again. Her finances should have been looked into and links to Golden boy etc.
Hometown decisions are starting to happen here now , last night and Crolla the other week. I know it's subjective but it seems to be getting worse, in as much as the governing bodies dont even comment.
Even a non boxing fan could have seen Wilder got schooled last night but his right hand glosses over it all.

The worst I remember was a German super middleweight world champion called Sven Ottka (May be wrong on the spelling)

He officially retired undefeated yet I reckon he actually lost at least 7 or 8 times!

I remember the old saying about knocking out the German home fighter to stand a chance of a draw.
The Klitchko brothers fought loads of their fights in Germany and couldn't be prised out 'just in case'.
Bit like canelo.
Nevada and either cinqo de mayo or día de muertos. Plus everything else in his favour.

The sad fact is that if the judges didn’t know who was Smith and who was Ryder , Ryder wins that fight all day long. Same as the first GGG v Canelo.
Rarely you get a big upset on points, like klitsckho v fury.
It is bollox , but wilder rarely needs the judges, Ortiz didn’t even know who he was, let alone where he was after the knockdown.

After the fight Ortiz said he was fine and his head was clear to carry on the camera shows his eyes were at the back off his head!
