The glorious media coverage (for a good few years now) that we've all happily wallowed in is, in the main due to the HF.
It's now the chance for the rest of ''all of us'' to carry the 'Selhurst atmosphere' torch.

The stage is set, embrace this opportunity.

What a load of tripe. I've wallowed in nothing. You might go around with a big cheesey grin on your face whenever Chris Kamara or whoever it is is praising the Palace support.
The HF played their part but so did the rest of us. difference is (So we are told) they have proved to be a bit flakey and are not supporting the team any more, whereas the rest of us (granted might not bring a big flag or turn the opposite way missing most of the game) will ALWAYS be there.
I'm pretty sure which of the two Roy is referring to when talking about the fans lifting the team.

You're in denial. You may not wallow but plenty of fans on here and on twitter froth at the mouth anytime someone mentions 'best fans in the league'.

And not supporting the team anymore? More fake news. We've been told they are still attending but individually, but not as a group. So they are just like any 'normal' fan now.

And Roy is referring to the HF. Don't be jealous. You know it.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

As long as you bring a medium sized flag you are alright with me. But those little weeny weeny ones would mean you are a plastic.

That's a bit of a daft comment as he has already said that he turns up every week and his money is just as good as anyone else's.

Let's not forget that our chairman is a lifelong fan but you don't see him bouncing up and down like a chimpanzee. Does that make him one of the prawn sandwich brigade?

Well he did sit in the Directors seating area for years before buying the club

And long before these kids calling themselves the HF arrived and he will still be there long after they sulked off in a huff.
Doesn’t make him a better fan, but if every Palace decided to leave, if things don’t go as they like. The teams we watched for long periods under Mullery, Francis and Taylor would got rid of the fairweather fan.

But they haven't left? Who told you they have left? We've been told multiple times that they have simply dispersed into the crowd. So now they won't be jumping up and down anymore. They'll be behaving just like the rest of us.

That's not so bad is it?

And actually, under Mullery we apparently lost a lot of fans. Some never came back. I've read that in multiple historical palace books.

It's true! I experienced it. There was a dramatic fall in attendance after his appointment.

Yeah, that was because of his refusal to turn his back to the pitch, jump up and down, wave a giant flag and keep banging a drum for 90 minutes. Or, at least, that's the way I remember it...

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
