Stirling. I was referring to the Sun using provocative language that alludes to / copies rhetoric that was coming out of Nazi Germany, except they've changed the word Jewish to Muslim. You think this is ok? You are a disgrace to anyone who fought for the allies in either World war if so. nb. Deliberately chose over emotional remark as that seems to be Dr riguer for the far right sympathisers on here

You can't do it yourself and then point at rags who do it! People who don't do it have perhaps more of a case. Also this idea that if someone said something in the past that we didn't like that it means that we can't use those same words is right out of teenage sixth form....that's not grown up at all. The Sun or the Mail are not nazis so all that is nonsense. If nazis are saying this stuff then that's perhaps different but it's paranoid and restrictive to finger point at everything....It's like 'sounds like' in a game of Charades. If they are breaking the law then that's for the authorities. I'm not worried about newspapers committing violence. Saying something similar to someone else in the past isn't breaking the law.....That is like those conspiracy idiots who say that celebrities are free-masons because of hand movements in photos. It's just a disingenuous and crazy response. Edited by Stirlingsays (20 Aug 2017 2.32am)

Now tax laws require that it's used for the campaign or campaign-related expenses - otherwise the donations stop being tax deductible - but paying your legal team is a qualified campaign-related expense. If you listen closely to beaten candidates in the primaries, they never "end" their campaigns. They "suspend" them, because this allows them to keep fund raising despite having dropped out. This money can then be used to pay off campaign debts, be given to another candidate's campaign or simply banked to use yourself next time around. So, if you can keep bringing in the money...why not? Yes, this is a particularly f***ed up part of a f***ed up election system.

Yep, the Republicans never liked him anyway, and the people like Bannon (the loose cannon) that he brought in just rubbed them up the wrong way even more. Now he's admitted that his "instincts" to get the US forces out of Afghanistan didn't take account of the fact that it would leave a vacuum for terrorists to fill.He was guilty of thinking just one move ahead instead of thinking like a chess player and anticipating different potential outcomes. Too often populists like Trump and Farage offer simplistic solutions to complex problems, which appeals greatly to people who like simplistic answers. His problem now is that, having failed to deliver on just about all of his campaign promises, those on the far right extremes may feel let down, and one or two may decide to exact their revenge for his failings. He should consider getting out of the job before some nutter takes a pot-shot!

I agree he isn't popular in the republican party but by the same token they are afraid of the incoming wrath of their base if they are seen dislodging him. I can see Trump resigning...but just as much I can see him sticking it out and going for 2020. I agree though that his current position is unstable.....of which he is largely to blame.

After the first eight months you gotta wonder what exactly Trump has to do from now on in order for his fans to withdraw their support?
