There are realistically only two reasons for this continuing delay and you've covered them both. Either we are genuinely interested in de Boer and/or Pellegrino, but one or both want to try their chances with Southampton first. Or, or maybe because of the previous point, we have latterly decided we'd like to give Dyche a run out (although why we didn't start the process earlier heaven alone knows).

There is a risk here that we could end up with no one if our tactic of trying to play both ends against the middle fails. We released Campbell, Flamini, Fryers, Ledley and Remy so we need five players just to replace them let alone to upgrade the squad and when you say that with the players that we've got and no manager we should be able to beat Huddersfield you forget who gave Burnley their only away win at the end of the last season

We will not replace any of them.
Any upgrades will be to the starting 11.

Instead of ranting perhaps you should try and construct a cogent argument without the theatrics and without telling others they're "off their heads".

I'd like a pound for the number of times I've heard how we're guaranteed to get a result against this or that team, because we are so superior to them, only to see us fail miserably. We underestimate Huddersfield, or any other team, at our peril.

If you'd actually read the article you'd see that most PL clubs, including Brighton, have a superior scouting network to us. How exactly are we to make these four or five additions to the squad without a manager? The idea that everything's fine, if we haven't made a managerial appointment by the time the season kicks off, is the real thinking of the madhouse.

Our problem last season was not our starting 11, but the lack of strength in depth to replace them when they weren't available for whatever reason. If we don't learn from the mistakes of the past, then we are doomed to keep repeating them.
