Trump is the last roar of an ageing lion from a great country that we will see slowly decline from the mid twenties onwards I'd say.

Because soon it's going to be wall to wall Democratic governance...If not 2020 or 2024...definitely from 2028 onwards....and the republicans will split in two between white Identitarians (who will become increasingly more segregationist) and an increasingly more centre based Republican party...who will move to the left to try to win less crazy Democrats....but until its leadership is non white it won't get a look in.....eventually it'll become more of a right of centre or centre Democratic party.

When you look at AOC.....you are looking at America's future.....Perhaps not her specifically but those like her.

America will be socialist and it will probably experience some sort of civil war or civil rebellion...probably starting over changes to second amendment rights.....hopefully nothing like as bad as the first.

When that happens, all bets are off.

Rightly or wrongly, that is the reality.

Strange considering a YouGov poll he commissioned showed his approval rating was -1. Still, as you say, a keen favourite.

Trump just said the same general sentiment that the Dalai Lama said a few years ago but in less diplomatic language.

Watching the fallout is kind of fun.

Sargon tackles the fuss being made over Trump's tweet.

Unlikely though that might be I guess it might be an option offered to those who want it. The same might apply to the 4 ladies in the USA but the fact remains that they are currently US citizens and for Trump to address any citizen in that way is bang out of order.

No argument from me on that

Have You ever stopped and realised your opinion is the minority and that you might not be so right all the time.

Not one to weigh in on a website spat butility I believe you both represent about a third each of the electorate.

The imbalance arises from the fact that the Wisbech third don't all turn up to vote but the other third are there at the polling station to a man.

His rating shifts very little among the low 40s percentile. He could trephin a row of babies on live TV while laughing maniacally and his rating would still remain static.

If he thought his popularity would go up he would already have done it.

Actually you are cherry picking what Trump actually said about these women. He pretty much said that 'This place isn't so bad' In other words they are ramping up their left wing rhetoric to suit their agenda.
These women are the dividers & are merely trying to cause divide.
I am willing to bet my last dollar I know more Immigrants In the USA than you (both legal & Illegal) & most agree with Trump that there needs to be a stronger border as well as comprehensive Immigration reform.
For the record It's mainly the Gangbangers, Peaodophiles,Rapists, Murderers etc that they are targeting not someone (yes even someone here Illegally)who is changing bed sheets in you're hotel or someone peeling spuds or scraping carrots in you're local restaurant.
Obama actually deported more people than Trump has

Actually I quoted exactly what Trump tweeted! You don't even "cherry pick"! You say what you think he ought to have said!

These women are elected Congresswomen who are US citizens with a complete right to express their opinion. The only one seeking to divide is Trump. It is very much his motivation.

As you live there I expect that you will know more immigrants than me and that they all agree that better immigration arrangements are needed. That's not rocket science. Everyone can see that, including the Democrats. It's only Trump who seeks to suggest otherwise with his stupid claims that people want "open borders". Everyone knows reform is needed. What is objected to is the stupidity of the current direction and the obsession with a "wall" as the ultimate answer.

Erm nope. The only people wanting 'Open Borders' are the Far left of the Democratic party. Trump is playing the Democrats & they are too stupid to see it.
If I was in Pelosi's or Schumers boots I'd actually be arguing for a 'wall' as well, that would completely nullify Trumps main argument.
If the Dems were then too agree to a wall alongside tightening up on visa overstays & chain migration.
They would both have enough credit to meet somewhere in the middle including some sort of amnesty for illegals (excluding the miscreants of course)

I mean evidence as in things he has actually changed in America rather than people who's feelings he has hurt on Twitter.

Things that the mad democrats are actively supporting:

Decriminalizing illegal immigration (how is this not effectively open borders?)
"Free" healthcare for all including illegal immigrants
also getting rid of the private healthcare option
The green new deal (which is nothing to do with climate and all about a vast centralized government at huge expense)
Right wing censorship and de-platforming in cahoots with big tech (code phrase "hate speech" )
Anti-antisemitism (code word "Zionists" )
Anti white propaganda (because all white people are privileged, even the really poor ones)
Tacit approval of political violence e.g. not one democrat spoke out about the Andy Ngo assault by "Antifa" but at the same time the republicans "words are violence"

They are loons

I really don't think this needs a detailed response, for it's lack of any reality speaks for itself, but I will respond to some points.

It's not the reaction of anyone who he targets on Twitter that provides the evidence. It's his words on their own. Trump is unfit to hold the office and he proves that all on his own almost every day.

Finding new ways to deal with illegal immigration constructively makes perfect sense when the problem is so large and what is being done now clearly has failed. No-one argues there isn't a big problem. What they argue is that building a wall and demonising people won't work. That's not being in favour of "open borders"! That's just Trump rhetoric to wind up his base.

Being in favour of moving towards a universal health care system, like our own NHS, makes sense too. It is much more cost effective and the whole economy would ultimately benefit, alongside the level of care for the poorer citizens getting improved.

The new green deal is a starting point for the greatly needed debate over the changes which are required to deal with the impact of climate change, which if ignored, will have devastating effects in the longer run. Trump's shorttermism is just selfish. He doesn't want to risk losing in 2020 by committing to what all sane people know is necessary and upsetting his base.

No-body censors right wing opinion, especially with Trump as POTUS. You can find it everywhere these days. Deplatforming is different and done for different reasons. Private organisations can decide for themselves who they will invite to speak. The Police can have concerns over safety.

Likewise "anti-white propaganda" is a myth circulated by the far right as propaganda of their own. It is put out there as a tool to wind up the impressionable.

The most noticeable silence at the moment is from the Republican leadership over Trump's most recent Twitter debacle.
