Seems fair enough, seeing just how much internal strife, crisis and grief the Anti-Corbyn labour party has inflicted on the leader their own membership selected twice.

But he's a union leaders, not a labour MP.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

I know he doesn't support Corbyn. But until I know the reason for suspension I can't comment on it.

Two schools of thought at the moment

Breach of DPA

Criticism of McCluskey

The trouble is, even if the suspension is valid, the timing makes it look dodgy.

IMO Michael Foot was a very able man who had the misfortune to look like a beatnik.

Churchill was a very poor PM after the war and younger leaders had to wait too long as he dragged it out.

Yep. And Jeremy isn't even able.

Churchill was not all good but at least he defended his country. Corbyn would have surrendered when Hitler invaded the Sudetenland.

Hitler gets a mention he has been neglected of late.

Nobody could surrender at that time as we were not at war.

It's Adolf's birthday today. 128 years young.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

That's true, but I'm sure Jeremy would already have had the speech written.

The (metaphorical) surrender of appeasement was down to the decidedly non left wing Neville Chamberlain and his ilk...In 1938,Attlee (as Labour leader, and incidentally, still IMHO the best post war PM) was a strong critic of appeasement.

That's true, and Chamberlain was desperately hoping Britain could be spared a war. He trusted Hitler to be reasonable and was wrong. What he did was in good faith and with Britain's interests at heart.
Mr Corbyn has already said he would not use nuclear weapons under any circumstances. That in itself disqualifies him as a candidate for Prime Minister even if he says these things with the best of intentions.

I agree with your post, including Attlee being the best post-war PM, a champion of ordinary British working people - he must be turning in his grave with how the Labour Party has 'progressed'.

I think he'd agree with Corbyn.

He wants to reintroduce Clause 4 'State control of all means of production, distribution and exchange'. How does that differ from communist policy?
