While Zelensky is asking for yet more money from all over the world for Ukraine, and demanding that Russia be fought until the death of the last Ukrainian, his parents ran from Ukraine and recently bought an $8 million house in Rishpon.

Rishpon is in Israel.

They have obviously been saving for a long time.

The minutes of the Carnegie Foundation in 1908 posed the question: “Is there any means known more effective than war, assuming you wish to alter the life of an entire people?” The same foundations financing and controlling policy today, answer, “no.”

How dare they live in Israel - obviously fascists.

Yesterday - Four powerful explosions rock major military airport in Crimea. Great! Let's hope they keep it up.

A unique chance to join in the warmongering:

There is zero chance that none of these messages will make it to the front line.

I thought you would support that kind of punishment for criminals of a certain ilk. Not sure that billions of dollars are anything to do with tape, shrink wrap and some sticks. That's more what Russia uses to fix its nuclear subs.

Suspect plenty of books will be written and lectures given on how the PR battle over this 'war' has been conducted. Whilst the actual fighting seems to have fallen back on the very conventional 20th-century model, of shelling the s*** out of stuff before advancing on foot to take the actual ground albeit it with the clearly now crucial importance of drones by way of acting as the eyes in the sky, the battle for public sentiment is pure 21st century.

Throw in the fact that Putin is portrayed as almost a comic book baddie versus Zelenskyy who came to prominence as a comic actor playing a President before actually taking the job on in real life and it is beyond bizarre on so many levels.

Ignore all the wider issues about gas, oil and everything else that is mixed up into the real/geo-political melting pot which is this ludicrous conflict but just focus on the almost soap-opera vibes that both sides are giving off.

Along with even the pretence of any kind of impartiality by mainstream Western media. The BBC don't even pretend to be interested in both sides of the story anymore.

And also how invested we have all become in it, on one side or the other.

I have a family member very much involved with humanitarian efforts on the ground in Ukraine. Up to his neck in all of this and he is completely honest with me that the media reporting on this all, from both sides, barely even starts to convey the nuances and complexities of what he witnesses on the ground.

This one I'd like to believe but frankly don't (an article on Russian losses):

There is a lot about the Ukraine situation that people believe that frankly is a lot of tosh.

I mean, if you asked most people, 'do you think the media tells you the honest truth', most of them would quite readily state that they consider the media quite low in honesty.

Yet, what I tend to find is that essentially most people still end up believing whatever angle is pushed at them....partly down to a lack of time or frankly interest. Also going against the socially accepted viewpoint is awkward to most.

The reality is that most lying is done by omission and half truth....cloaking language in such a fashion that it shapes the thought process.

Both the western and Russian media do it and most people aren't inclined to the skeptical because it isn't in their interest to be.
