It is fair to say that if you get Wilf you are getting one hell of a player but we fans don't want Everton cast offs who can't get in their Team as part of the deal.
Sadly - our owners may not see it that way as we are hearing that cash is King at Selhurst right now.
Good luck for the season but hopefully without Wilf and not this Saturday!

I totally understand not wanting to lose your best player days before the season starts. It's a horrible situation. I also get that you don't want our cast offs. I do think Tosun could possibly do a job for you though.

I'm glad my club is showing ambition with these potential signings but I'm not totally comfortable with the fallout for other clubs involved.

Bit of a double edged sword for me.

Good luck for the season mate!

Why does it matter where he goes - if he isn't a Palace player, then I couldn't care less.

Everton offer £65M
Barceklona offer £64M

I accept Everton's offer - it's all about Palace in my book.

Couldn't give a rats arse about Everton's lack of CL credentials.

I could not agree more.

Why so called Palace fans give an F about Wilf's career or come up with more and more daft reasons why selling him is a good idea is just nuts.

All I care about is my team winning and the club improving. I don't own the bloody club and I am not Zaha's dad.

All this old guff will be meaningless when we lose on a Saturday. Fans want results and if you care too much about Zaha's future then you need to get a life.

We’re only bothered when we go in late for players because the selling club turns Parish down because they have no time for replacements (Tosun in turkey), or the agent tries screwing us over (Niasse at Everton), theme developing here, or its a disaster for any other reason, or we just end up with players that are available but not really suitable, which happens lots to us now.

We’ll effectively have one more player on combined wages the same as wilf’s. One will be a midfielder we don’t need and we’re trying to buy a bigger prospect from Real Betis. We’ll have £45 mil after paying Man U off to evolve the team without Wilf, which will have to cover wages as well.

I'm not sure that your maths is correct as well have to pay Manchester United 25% of the total sale price which includes the notional value of the two players taken in part exchange so it will end up being a significant proportion of the cash sum involved.

If this deal actually goes ahead on the basis claimed in the media and we don't replace Wilf with a decent winger then I fear that there are significant problems within CPFC 2010 Ltd that we don't know about

If Everton pay £1mil more then I’d sell him to Barcelona, and Wilf would demand that anyway. £5 mil more and it’s highes bidder, but the club and wages will dictate where because that’s football now, and that includes poor and high performing players. The better clubs will tend to bid and pay more in wages anyway, especially if there’s a bidding war.

Yeah I’ve taken this latest rumour with so much salt (I haven’t read a link yet) I’ve still assumed it’s £65mil plus the 2 cast offs when I think you’re saying it’s £65 mil including the 2 cast offs valued at £35 mil or something ridiculous and highly unlikely.

It’s not April 1st either.

No, this is a childish opinion:

So Wilf is just a greedy b****** then and it isn't about furthering his footballing career at all.

I always thought that we should have sold him to Arsenal at half of out valuation on condition that he accepted wages of half what we paid him” - Midlands Eagle

Me being furious with Wilf potentially leaving for a team like Everton a couple of days before the end of the transfer window is justified especially given our situation as it is in any case.

Seemed as though you felt that way too but then have been dragged back in to the possibility of once again trying to dismiss someone else to put yourself on a pedestal you probably can’t achieve elsewhere in life.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Do you think Tosun would actually want to be makeweight in a deal even if this story were true? I imagine he would want to choose the club he went to, rather than be pushed to a club he turned down in the past. My worry if I was an Everton supporter would be that Kean is probably one for the future rather than now (I live in Malta and so often saw Juve last season and he looked raw to me, albeit talented) and so you may still be lacking a proper striker who will get you goals and in defence you are arguably weaker than last season. Rather than signing Zaha I would be looking at replacing Zouma, and given what decent, experienced centre-backs cost these days you may need £40-60m for that. I would then prioritise getting another striker in. You have Richarlison and Sigurdsson to create chances and I think adding Zaha to those two may actually make your team imbalanced as you're no Liverpool or Man City.

Also remember that the amount is capped at £15m. Its still a very sizeable amount I do agree.

What's the source of this latest meltdown enabling news?

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I think that it was The Independent who were the first to write it and the others all scraped and copied it
