I don't think anyone has any idea what has been going on re appointing the next Palace manager. Surely by the end of this week SP must make an announcement.

I have a gut feeling that negotiations between Parish, Dyche and Burnley have been taking place behind very securely locked doors over the past couple of weeks.

Curly eagles dad, 45 years of Palace. Never ever a dull moment, Oh Happy Days

The scenes on the HOL when we announce Sir Alex.

In all seriousness though it could be a lot worse. Sunderland supposedly linked with Tony "Faaaacking" Adams, think I'd prefer Pete the Eagle or even Zeki Fryers over him.

Pete the Eagle! There's a thought.

Why can't people spell 'definitely'?

If it drags on much longer and if it's Dyche then Burnley aren't leaving themselves much time to replace him.

Well anyway here we are at the start of another day's arguing and infighting on HOL

This latest Dyche talk is a bit of a conundrum. He would appear to burning his bridges at Burnley (unless they're very forgiving) which would seem to be a rather risky thing to do unless it's been indicated to him that the Palace job is his if he wants it. If that's the case, what a complete waste of everyone's time the last four weeks have been. Being pragmatic I cannot see how his CV could trump de Boer's or even Pellegrino's, so why are we putting at risk employing one of those to give Dyche a run out? I hope it's for the right reasons and not because he's perceived as being more easily controlled and works cheap.

Easy answer is because he's British and sp needs to keep up appearances by employing British and probably because he's cheaper than other candidates too

I hope that whoever is appointed has good contacts in the transfer market because our scouting 'network', even compared to Brighton's, sounds a bit...well...err...crap frankly:
