Indeed Willo, I don’t believe any of what I wrote was incorrect. I could give numerous other examples if you like. All I’m saying is ‘What do we know’?! We don’t, so why would any of the names be fanciful in the extreme when you’ve got the likes of Leicester winning the Premier League, Derby signing Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez and Javier Maschereno signing for Alan Pardew at Wet Spam! Strange things sometimes DO happen so cannot be dismissed out of hand. Edited by Phil’s Barber (01 Mar 2021 9.24pm)

Not out of context or disingenuous at all. Did you actually see or hear the BBC interview or are you just responding to the quotes people have put on here? He was clearly talking about his approach to the game and his satisfaction with the point bearing in mind Fulham had been playing well, we had a number of players out injured and because he ‘knew’ we were going to be under pressure for large parts of the game... “we were a bit of a wounded animal, there's a lot of good players that we have in reserve at the moment, so people have to work very, very hard, and I thought defensively, and the way people stuck at their task, I can't compliment them enough, but of course we were under pressure for a lot of the time and I think Nil Nil I think was the best we were going to be able to get today. ..and we got it”. I was being every bit sincere in my post and I don’t think his comments could’ve been any clearer. Below is the link of the full interview.

Koeman took over a Southampton team that had finished 8th the previous season under Pochettino.A club with a well-renowned academy that have produced good players over the years, modern stadium which attracted 31,000 crowds and a good infrastructure. Pochettino was virtually unheard of in this country when he was appointed manager of Southampton, after leaving Espanyol who were bottom of the table. Apropos Bielsa at Lazio and Lille,he resigned after a few days at Lazio and left Lille after a few months. Koeman was also on his arse a bit at the time, having flopped at valencia and also one of the big Portuguese clubs, having had to return to Holland with his tail between his legs both time. I've no problem with hoping for a next level manager, but to hope for a champions league level one like Tuchel, pochettino, nanglesmann and now gerard is a little ridiculous. Benetiz has fallen from the top table it seems having accepted the Newcastle job, but he took that job as an ego trip rather than a recognition that his glory days were over, and for all his pedigree he just played anti football anyway.

If we haven't sorted any replacement yet ? Then it could come down to who is available at the time.

WBA home, Sheff Utd away and Soton away are the only 3 we can target. All the rest will be a pasting with us playing the same negative, lethargic football. This season will finish a carbon copy of last and we can only hope we already have the points on the board to avoid the scrap.

I have been advocating Parker for some time. Working against us we have he is well paid and has an owner who is prepared to spend money when he is satisfied it will be wisely spent and lead to an improvement. Parker's inherited some expensive transfers signings who were not much use. Anguissa, Seri and Mawson all now loaned out. He also lost Sessegnon to Spurs. IMHO he has shown great managerial promise and fits in 100% with our South London background. I would be delighted to get him but if Fulham survive I think the chances are very small.
