So your history is in banking then, like the poster you questioned? Or just maybe your hoping that it isn’t true! Having any kind of history only gives you the ability to understand the relevant facts. Until the facts are known everyone is ignorant. History or not. The only facts we know are that the Republicans are making assertions and are running a fishing investigation to try to find something that supports them.

I notice that the young lad that murdered the 15 year old schoolgirl in Croydon has not had his race mentioned by the BBC but they are happy to headline "Policeman on trial for murdering a black man" They really should state the race for everyone or no-one in circumstances like this Surely that’s only because his identity has not yet been released by the police.

We need to stop referring to skin colour or ethnicity as relevant to anyone’s character. I don’t think the BBC are stirring things up though. I think they are using the accepted terminology when they ought to be leading the move to change.

Surely fishing happened to trump as how did the evidence surface? Goose and gander etc, can’t have it one way only.

He just denies they are illegal or improper. He provides the evidence himself, all duly recorded and available for public scrutiny.

Wisbech At least Trump has transparent stupidity to show his flaws in plain sight not like the Biden’s who use multiple insidious shell nominee and off-shore companies to try to hide the proceeds of crime. We are talking in the region of $50million dollars being funnelled to the Biden from Ukraine, China, Russian and other dodgy jurisdictions with no underlying commercial explanation other than influence and bribery and corruption. You’re obviously semi- intelligent but like so many you have become blinded in tribal politics and see what you want to see. Yes. We are in early stages of the investigation but it looks bad…very bad. Take off your left wing blinders for once.

We are in early stages of the investigation but it looks bad…very bad. Take off your left wing blinders for once. I have no left-wing anything. I am a centralist and pragmatist. I have no doubt that Hunter Biden and his uncle have used professional tax and regulation lawyers to structure their businesses, or that overseas interests have used their names and perception of advantageous connection. That though is not evidence of corruption. It's evidence of the frailties of capitalism and the willingness of people to exploit them. Joe Biden has no more way of stopping that happening than we do. He might request it and resent it, but no control over it. The most often quoted "example" of possible corruption is that he has met some of the people involved in the businesses. Big deal. Did he do that as a President, Vice President, Senator or just as a father? We all meet our children's friends and colleagues from time to time. That doesn't mean we discuss business, even if they want to. Joe Biden has a son with problems who he has a duty to support. You don't stop loving your children just because you become President. You take extra care to separate the two. If there is any evidence of Joe Biden being corrupt then I would be the first to argue that due process should be followed. Right now I don't see anything other than assertions and political fishing trips.

That's just more knife-wielding from a nasty right-wing rag who want to undermine confidence in our national broadcaster. The BBC have covered this. I heard it discussed on both Today and PM and have little doubt it was elsewhere. Why the news editors of the website chose not to run it as a headline story is up to them. Not the government. It's a good example of their independence. They obviously thought other things to be more important than small adjustments to statistics that time has revealed. I don't suppose these get too much publicity when they show a poorer picture than first thought either.

If it was last week it would be in one of the 50 news pages you can access.
