Of course your right but it seems the media and some elements of the public are going about criticism the totally wrong way examples of this is comparing death rates when the truth is until this is over nobody will no the true extent of how many people died. I got no scientific evidence of this but there was nasty flu going around in december and January around the same time china started reporting a unusual virus. Given the uk is a major traveling hub I think Corona was here before most european countries. Of course this not a scientific claim merely a hunch. I too was ill in December to the extent that exceeded anything I'd previously experienced. While it's perfectly possible that it was the flu or a chest infection, I'd certainly be eager to take an antibody test if available to see if I was an unfortunate "early adopter" of this horrendous virus.

Might be bs but I read Merkel was in china last december. Could it be that she knew hence why germany were ahead on testing and PPE. The EU project in full flow. Not.

According to these figures, leaving America out, the UK, France, Italy and Spain have experienced 60% of Covid deaths worldwide. This doesn’t seem likely; either different measures are being used or some countries aren’t being honest.

The bloody BBC are beginning to annoy me with their Covid coverage as it seems that they will go to any lengths to find something negative to say. Watching the news at lunchtime today and they decided to find out what it was like for home testing so they had one woman on ranting about her her home testing kit had the return envelope missing and when she rang the testing phone line she was told to bin it and re-apply. The woman was ranting on how it was a disgrace and a poor show on behalf of the government who should be able to do better. I'm sure that if the BBC looked hard enough they could have found someone whose kit had arrived intact. They could even have rung me but no they preferred to stick with the just the one single negative report

The weather may well play part in this, but you're right we're being honest about our numbers whereas some countries are in everything is ok PR mode.

Yep, and me. That's the exact period I was ill. As I say it may well have been something else, but the timing does make you wonder!

Being honest with a bit of flexibility i would argue, 80k tests achieved, 120k reported- 40k in the post for another day, maybe you have rose tinted specs on like a lot on here,,,,,,,,,,,,

Of course in a perverse kind of way it might not be entirely a bad thing if more people have had it than we realise.
