I'm sorry to offend.... but I'm pretty good at judging characters and players for palace. If we get Sean dyche then we are a lack lusting sack of crap! He's mediocre. I said before with jedinak when everybody loved him a couple seasons back. I said he should go way before he did and everyone slated me saying he was are talisman! Steve parish please listen to me, pink fluff. Sean dyche is cack

Patrick Vierra is now joint fav for the Saints job - a Saints fan at work pointed out to me that they often pick managers out from beyond the usual suspects - true in the case of Pochettino and Puel, not so with Koeman, but PV could be their surprise choice - pre the move for Vierra you could split your money on all the runners in the Saints list and still make a profit without having recourse to a calculator so it does fit the picture that there was an unknown runner - just clutching at straws for the Pellegrino-Lee double act perhaps, but I predict we'll be put out of our misery by Wednesday latest. The most probable scenario looks to be Pellegrino for Saints and Dyche for us but that's still significantly less than a 50% chance of happening. I've seen De Boer do TV analysis, he doesn't impress and he was a catastrophe at Inter so he's a distant 3rd choice for me.

At the start of the selection process, one of the criterion mentioned by Parish was to appoint a long-term manager who would not use us as a "Stepping stone" and alluding to getting away from "Transition" etc etc. I said at the time that this fits the Dyche mould perfectly.I might have said on here, but definitely outside of HOL that the criterion didn't seem to match some of the foreign managers who were being touted at the time.A manager from abroad who did well for us would certainly be sought by clubs bigger than us and perhaps we wouldn't be able to keep that person. But nobody knows what's going to happen next year or even in a couple of months. A run of bad results and a drop towards the bottom of the table and the manager will be toast. I can't see him hanging onto any of these chaps for grim life like he did with Pardew; yo-yoing between the Championship and the Premiership might be good for Burnley, but if we go down we might implode.

This makes absolutely no sense to me. The only way the club won't be used as a stepping stone is if the manager fails. Regardless of whether he is British or not if he does well he'll be looked at by bigger clubs. That's the nature of the beast. What a load of old nonsense. Originally posted by Willo

If all we wanted was not to be a stepping stone to higher things we should've just gone out and signed Woy up, buggered off on holiday and put our feet up whilst they refurbished the bogs.
