Still not one word of condemnation here of the disgusting mob behaviour in Southport yesterday. Behaviour that was doubtless fuelled by the scourge of social media misinformation. It is a really serious problem these days which is infecting every internet based communication channel. This one included! Is it not amazing that there are more posts in this thread trying to insult me than there are condemning beered up thugs, causing distress to a grieving community? The idea that the families of the victims were participating is disgraceful. The only one I heard speak about it was scathing and the reaction of the community has been exemplary. The idea that this was not done by the far right, appears unlikely to be true. It is widely reported that the “English Defence League” were responsible and could now be banned. The police have intelligence which supports that.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

The police have intelligence which supports that. The EDL haven’t existed for over 10 years. The people involved were from Merseyside, greater Manchester and actually Southport.
