SP is never going to make a statement on this so we are all guessing.

We know that Solorth is on a 2 year loan with a right (or obligation?)to buy if he plays 50% of the games this season.

There is rumoured to be a loan cancellation clause of 9 million Euro (but do both parties have to agree)

There is a rumour of an early buy clause as well

He is Palace's player until the Turkish club buy him and they do not have the money. If 3 is true are they trying to get finances to buy from a bank or even a pre-payment from a buying club.

We can not recall to sell unless rumoured cancellation clause is triggered.

I think Turkish Club are looking at holding him for this season and triggering the buy clause and then selling on. There are 2 problems with this Firstly he could have a poor season or get injured and not be saleable at end of season. Secondly will Solorth agree or does he want to go now.

I think he does want to go now and this means the Turks have a problem either have a player who is not happy and therefore potentially disruptive or come to an accomodation with Palace and Player. If the sale is £20 million pounds we will want our money back probably about £9 million plus 50% of profit and the Turks will probably want more of a return than that

Sorloth, has to be a Palace player, ours to sell. Why Palace would pay £9 mill to get their own player back from a loan is hard to believe.
In particular because , the Turks could think up a multitude of reasons not to buy. Including an injury nobody can legislate for.
A no recall could well be in place , but that could only involve the loan fee , nowhere near £9 mill . Unless in the even more unlikely event the Turks actually paid close to£9mill for the two years . Unlikely as it seems that would put the deal with the Turks at about £15 mill . That would explain the present wrangle. Just trying to add to the mystery, it’s got to the point where anything starts be become a possibility.

has it not been reported that they are in breach of the FIFA FPR and therefore they have a transfer embargo in place?

Sorloth is our player, notwithstanding any loan agreement.
Surely,we have a big say where and when our player ends up.

I can’t see why Brugge would pay 10 mill for an injured Tekkers who’s contract is up in June ?. Surely he will negotiate himself a deal at Xmas with them.

Hopefully Spurs will do a BOGOF deal

Palace were obviously desperate to get him off the books and the club need to look at the way they have dealt with this.

Its an oversight and judgemental to write off a player after 16 games

Sorloth is on the radar of a host of top clubs, so he obviously has talent and we didn't get the best out of him.

It's an amateurish loan deal, not befitting of a club with aspirations of being an elite club.

He played in 20 games for us (16 Premier League, 3 League Cup & 1 FA Cup) One of the few sad stats I can remember about him from previous internet research.

8 starts, 12 as a sub.

its all a bit odd to say the least, if he is that rubbish why would we not sell him, who is paying his wages? Dont think I have ever heard of a loan agreement as complicated as this one is supposed to be.

Sometimes I set out for Ludlow
Sometimes I end up in Chepstow

parish, and the club have been slagged on here time and time again for being to cautious , Taking to long checking every little detail of an in coming transfer.. caution seems to be the watchword. That behaviour doesn’t seem to fit the profile of someone who would agree to pay £9mill to retain his own player.

Almost every outlet you can think off has carried the story. Spurs , interested in Sorloth. The Mail, now simply say ,Spurs move for Sorloth, unlikely. Let’s be honest , was it ever likely?

Well, it depends on what the loan agreement actually was. And nobody has, as yet, fully explained it. What we do know is extraordinary enough (2 seasons, no recall) so who knows what other horrors lurk within?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
