Indeed. So the inference is that the only people objecting to carrying an id card are those with a vested interest.

I've always enjoyed this phrase.....I never wear vests myself.

Well you have to wonder? I was the id checker and no one complained to me mainly the comment I got was "its about time".

The media tried to blow it up during the day a mate sent me a link from the Guardian that it was all kicking off in Bromley with people being denied the vote. By the end of the day that story had disappeared completely because it was a non event.

In my poll station we had visits from the Scottish government, our MP, officials from all the major parties, civil servants and I spoke to the Returning officer for Bromley. They all said no problems.

The only issue I would have is if the police could stop you and demand you produce id.

I was surprised at how many of us carry id already and probably don't think of it as that.

If you’re driving when they stop you they do demand id.
I guess it depends on how the idea is sold. A sinister form of repression or a useful tool that could carry health needs and next of kin information,

As you hinted earlier those people with nothing to hide can easily provide their id to the police even without a photo id. The people the police and the taxman are really interested in fly under the radar and will never willingly carry id.

Yep. And the people who would oppose the idea under some vague “democratic” heading are the ones who want to ignore the referendum outcome. Ironic, huh?

Triggered Swedish women and emasculated Swedish men have flooded that country with the male flotsam and jetsam off every criminally operated boat in the Med.

And a free apartment for all.

Net result : the crime and rape statistics are up into the stratosphere

Went up through Whitehorse Lane yesterday and it did make me think how strange it now is that there’s a mass influx of British whiteys for a few hours for 20 odd times a year. ALL of people who donfind it strange obviously still live there or nearby.

South Norwood has had a large population of Black people for many decades. Traditionally, they have not attended football matches but that has changed a bit in recent years.
It is true that most Palace fans are White and that many have moved away from south London.
It would probably suit the club to move to an area where they could attract a bigger more affluent local and traveling support but we know the problems involved with that. Only very big money could change things.
Oddly enough, some of my ancestors lived in Holmesdale Road and the local area before Selhurst Park was even built.

Yep. There has also been some British white people there. Now there’s hardly any. I suppose it’s like a lot of football clubs now. Tottenham, West Ham, Aston Villa. It is a bit strange when you realise it on a non match day.

Yes it is funny how black people don't go to palace in mass even being 2nd 3rd generation.
