The HF supported the club at away matches as well as at Selhurst. Just hope all those that do not think they did a good job find the time to make the trips away that cost a lot of dosh.I doubt it very much.

I would very much to go to away games but with my meagre 2500 points that is not always possible. Maybe if I was a member of HF ways would have been found to get me special treatment for tickets

Ha, a fair point but there's far more pressure at home for any struggling side.

Spiderman, you could always buy an away season ticket where points aren't the criteria. A lot of HF have had season tickets for a number of years plus the points for attending away matches hence they qualify for their tickets, unlikely that the club would condone anything underhand. The point is whether you like them or not their dedication will be missed.

And you have what reason to say that? Throw enough mud and it might stick. I propose that is fake news, do prove me wrong

To say the HF/noise/atmosphere/whatever helps get results is a myth.
You only have to look at our home form last two or three years.
Creating noise makes for a more enjoyable experience for spectators. A professional will shut the outside influences out and concentrate on their performance.
Its actually laughable to suggest or even hint that the HF are instrumental in the teams results

Well I guess we all need to laugh at Roy then. He has said many many times that the fans lift the players and affect games

the point to be made is exactly that, the fans, not the HF but the fans, that's all of us.

The glorious media coverage (for a good few years now) that we've all happily wallowed in is, in the main due to the HF.
It's now the chance for the rest of ''all of us'' to carry the 'Selhurst atmosphere' torch.

The stage is set, embrace this opportunity.

I agree with this.

We all now have a part to play this season. We can no longer rely on the HF and we can't piggy back off them any longer.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

I apologise and I have been a fan of the HF atmosphere, I sincerely hope the cauldron that is SP does not die out. I cannot have an away season ticket due to commitments and cost, my gripe is with the club who stated at the time of the Cup Final they would re-assess the points system. Until then I cannot see anyway I would ever get to see Palace away relatively locally.

i didnt get thank yous when for 4seasons i went to every game from 1975 to 1979 in 1979/80 i missed 8 so i was there for over 200+ games, i was there to support the team not my ego,
it got less and less due to work, marriage, children,
i was traveling from essex for all them games sometimes sleeping outside fenchurch station to get the train home,
so dont make them out tobe heros, theres alot of who have sacrificed more than seats to watch palace
