Yep and the WC is suffering in the same way as other cups such as the FA cup in England, most players are only focused on their league football as that's where they get their money from.

A to the reference by others stating my comment is 'nonsense', you clearly can't accept a different opinion, which is what I kind of expected on here. The WC has gone the same way as all other cup competitions except for Champions league and that's because that particular tournament is linked to local league position and back to the money addiction. Still, that's probably a bit too complicated for many on here to understand but continue to enjoy what's left of this watered down tournament. Fake World Cup anyone? )

My first world cup was 1970 but this years WC has been one of the most entertaining and well organised I've ever witnessed. VAR has been a great leveller with ref's decisions not being overly influenced by 'big' teams need to progress.

Could also be the reach of Global football. Previous 'underdog' teams now have players, playing in top flight leagues all over Europe / South America. So the advantages of the 'big countries' having home grown players of a certain level is now less of an advantage - Maybe the Brazil's, Argentina's etc etc have had their day and need to rebuild their youth footballing structure?

Good match so far. Giroud not making the most of the chances so far. Hazard playing well. Great save by the Welsh sounding French keeper Lloris.

Sorry, pal, it’s nothing to do with opinions. You said that this is a non-world cup. That is nonsense. It makes no sense. Non-sense.
