Massive credit for Luka, while the others were celebrating the first he ran over to them and grabbed them practically dragging Sako back to our half, he was shouting ‘one more’ or words to that effect.

Give him the armband. Top player for us.

As Watford fans we will feel like our lot threw that away but credit to you for taking advantage of our ill-discipline.

A pretty average game where both teams in the 2nd half were poor (thought we did well 1st half but its the points that count.

Once again you showed a willingness not to give up and kept going whereas we stopped playing.

Sakho or Luka should wear the armband, no-one else.

Sell PVA in Jan and use the money to buy a right back, release Fosu-Mensa and use the loan spot to bring in Giroud if possible. Buy a goalkeeper and a decent midfielder and Bobs your uncle, Fannys your aunt, we will finish 12th to 15th. There's a prediction for you!

Maybe, just maybe, the whole 'luck' thing is finally evening itself out. I'll happily take another 10 dire performances & sneak a win in our remaining home games this season.

As an aside, did anyone else notice Silva seek out Luka & have a chat with him all the way back to the tunnel? I'd be intrigued to know what that was about & hope there was no tapping up going on.

Silva was his coach at olympiakos.

Probably for if he wants to buy Luka in his next job.

Obviously a superb result even if the performance was actually a bit poor bar the last 10mins. Why is it, bar Chelsea, we tend to win the games we play poorly in and draw the ones we play well in?

Anyway, I have a question: I had a peek at the Watford forums and, pre-match, they really seem to hate us and, particularly, Zaha. Why is that? Because we beat them in the Playoff final and the FA Cup semi-final? Sure, Zaha won a penalty in the first of these but it clearly WAS a pen and I forget the latter. I detect a team that, like Charlton, are desperate for a rival... we don’t really give a s*** about them though so they should look elsewhere.

As for this match: we got lucky with PVA’s non sending off potentially but Cleverley clearly deserved to go. Our goals were two excellent bits of play by that man they hate so much and they dominated large parts of the game so they really only have themselves to blame.

They dislike Wilf because he was fouled in the play off game and the league game and we were awarded penalties, which they were.
There rivals are Luton.
My Luton friends 'Love It' when the Palace turn them over.

Palace 13th 2017/18.

This is my understanding as well.

I am also of the opinion that as far as Luton fans are concerned their other rival is Stevenage.Luton's 7-1 Home win this season over Stevenage must have been very pleasing for the 'Hatters' supporters.

We have to be realistic - we aren't going to be shopping in Waitrose.

Fo what it means, to-date I haven't heard about any interest in signing Giroud in the 'Transfer Window'.Things can change of course but I can only divulge what I know thus far.

Isn't that the same for everyone or do others divulge what they don't know?

People can interpret my post as they wish and draw conclusions.

At the end of the day I have divulged that to-date I haven't heard of any interest in signing Giroud.Make of that what you will.

PVA was lucky - should have gone - and he looked awful on the right as well - I hope that isn't a sign of things to come!
Schlupp is having a bad time and I am not a Benteke fan anyway regardless of Saturday.
RLC is growing in stature and needs to play every game.
Fosu-Mensa is young with mistakes in him but let him play instead of Ward in my opinion - way more athletic.
Townsend is awful - how did he ever get to play for England.
Play Jimmy Mac and let Wilf roam.
We won though - if we could get a point on Saturday we can dare to dream!

PVA is always going to look awkward at right back considering he doesn't have a right foot.
Schlupp wasn't great last night but has been OK during our recent run.
RLC does play every game when fit but should play down the middle.
Fosu-Mensah may well be quick but Ward has been excellent until his injury and would start for me when fit. Both are injured now so that is a blow.
Townsend works hard and had our only shots of note in the first half. He is also injured so you may get your wish.
Jimmy Mac never lets us down.
