This won't be popular....

We were very lucky with the own goal.
Against Leicester we were lucky to score with our first shot that was deflected.

Sometimes. Sometimes it's about changing tactics or formation. If a lone striker isn't working, go to 442. If he's not getting much service through the middle, push up one of your midfielders. If passing the ball around isn't working, stick benteke on and play high balls into him (don't put him on and carry on passing around thd floor). Lots of ways to change thd game, Roy plays the same way and in most cases subs are like fof like.

Roy does that every game using his subs, he can only use what he has got. Do you think today was plan A or B or C?

Everyone gets some luck. We missed some glorious sitters earlier in the season.

Roy’s football can be boring but he’s keeping Parish and us in the Prem without luck overall.

I would say plan B. First time he's changed the team that much and I bet burnley weren't expecting that line up...worked pretty well dont you think?

Kept it tight first half. The second goal was the catalyst for us playing some nice football. I thought all the changes made -Meyer alert- made an impact. All those criticising our bench / squad strength can give it a rest now

your goal-difference after 38 games will have little to do with luck.

and anyway, Napoleon used to promote his lucky Generals.

Maybe but you also create your own luck. Wilf and Schlupp both drove the ball into a dangerous area this time we got an own goal but next time it could be Michy on the end of it. If you don't put the ball in you won't get any luck.

I think we've had enough bad luck this season to warrant a bit of good....

Don't think so. Opened them up with a dangerous ball across the face of goal which Schlupp put back in the mixer. And for those saying Meyer had a bad game, look at his positioning for the goal - the timed run into the box, right up with play ready for the tap in, forcing Bardsley into the error.
A well worked goal.

Meyer was just behind Bardsley to boot it in anyway and against Leicester they would have had to score three more to get a win.
Defensively we were too good, let alone going forward.

..I'm not going to be woooshed again am I lol
