ah, well. Frank will get a million or two pay-off for his two months effort and the players will still be getting their millions for their thinking that it's the team that scores nil wins.

Nothing wrong with his tactics today, nullified 2 big forwards whilst creating a host of chances no one put away. The only reason we lost was 1 very poor pass, nothing more.

We cant score goals anymore. Thats a shame as it means we will get relegated. We created loads of chances, and couldnt score a single goal, incredible performance really to not score with over 20 shots.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

No, this was not awful. It simply wasn't and I don't accept anyone who says it was.

Was it a good performance? No. And I understand that. But we had two golden opportunities to score. It's not FdB's fault that we missed them.
But Hennessy wasn't tested apart from the Ashley Barnes shot. He had very little to do other than try and deal with Lee's mistake.

We're missing Wilf, Reuben, Tomkins and Sakho. I'd put Wickham up there too.

So no, it wasn't dreadful and we definitely have a chance against Saints.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

22 shots to 4, 5 on target compared to their 2. 13 corners to 3. And 3 good chances to score. It's not as though we played badly and we created chances. A bad play by Lee cost us the goal but Burnley produced little after that. Manager won't/can't be sacked he needs time and we need Sakho, Zaha and Loftus cheek back in the squad and we'll be fine.

Can't score in a barrel of t**s and ghastly defensive mistakes in every game. Much better performance but Dann really really should've buried that. Thought we definitely deserved a point.

Nobody's started a top-flight season as badly as this in nearly a century.

Better still first team in top flight in football history to not score in four opening matches for 93 years!

We killed them but we lost. Another day or any 3 of our injured players on the pitch and we 100 percent would have beaten them...

Has FDB learned his lesson? Jury will be out but I definatly think we look decent now...

God this loss is going to hurt though...

We don't beat Southampton and we're f***ed. We then have city, united and chelsea. That'd be 8 games and no points!

First record under FdB. Personally don't want to see the 2nd just yet after this performance but he may be clinging on.

Burnley were awful, and they won. I bet their fans can't believe it.

Worst possible result for us. A loss, but not a decisive one so now it's like 'now what?'. Do we wait to see if it improves and risk 5 or 6 or 7 losses instead of 4? Or do we risk upsetting the team if they might just be hitting their stride. It'll be interesting to see what De Boer says afterward

Well pointed out, Jimmy.

NO WAY should De Boer be sacked following this result with Palace's inadequate finishing at crucial times and Cheung's catastrophic misjudged back pass being what separated us from at a least a draw.

Many positives though to glean from today in terms of possession and much (not all) off the passing showing pro use from earlier games.

If we dominate Southampton in the way that we dominated Burnley ...and discover shooting boots with more confidence and accuracy, then 3 pts should be in the bag next weekend. CRUCIAL though that Palace fans ROAR on team at Selhurst next week.
