Neither are good enough but at least Hennessy wants to play. And let's try and give some credit for the last 3 clean sheets, yes a few scares but he has looked ok.
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

most average keepers make decent saves during games, its how many mistakes they also make. Hennessey always 1 or 2 which would have cost goals before with our fragile defence. I seem to remember calamity macarthy costing us 5 or 6 points after our first few games of last season.

He's not been good enough and hopefully will be replaced in the summer. One of a multitude of reasons we're in a relegation battle. Indeed.

Since we've turned a corner we've hardly needed a keeper the defence has been so tight. It's when we're not playing so well that the frailties in Hennesey's game will tell again. That is when a good goalie would save us points.

Brentmeister, Your negative obsession with our keeper is too much. You must have posted on this thread dozens and dozens of times; it is not going away. He is not the best keeper in the world. Equally, he is not as bad as your think. This has become one of the most tiresome threads on HOL for ages.

Such a polarisation of views I have never witnessed before at Palace. Sorry if it bores you. I just don't think that you're going to get any respite until the situation changes though. If he makes a good save his fans will be on here praising him. If he fumbles and has a shocker then his detractors will be on here lambasting him.

The goalkeeping position is exposed and every error is highlighted as it can result in a goal. Hennessey has made some errors, only a fool would say he hasn't, but then what goalkeeper hasn't.
