The moronic we'd of only missed remarks to the penalties just baffle me. I'd just like a referee to not be bent and give us the decisions we deserve, but that's too much to ask it seems.
Yes we didn't play well in the first half, but we recovered and we're worth the point, but this squad cannot defend to save their lives. Kelly is the worst fullback in the league IMO. Ward is having to play out of position to accommodate him and the centre halves aren't playing as a pair, no matter which two play. Finally our keepers cannot make a save when it really matters. Not saying it's Hennessey's fault, but I guarantee Fabianski would of managed to keep us out in a similar situation.
Sadly it was all so predictable.

Aside from an occasional adequate save I'm at a loss as to why WH is preferred to Jules. WH doesn't seem to have any command of his area & very little else to be honest. Being the Welsh No.1 shows what little choice they have.

I bet we'd have got one. But it's the fact that they were not awarded which seems to sum up things for us. Even one stone cold penalty and a second likely one are beyond us. You can see the belief drain from the players.

Whether Sam is the right manager I don't know, but Pardew really f***ed up this team, and we've recruited poorly. We look so unfit. At this level, that's a disgrace.

I think one of the main reasons and has been for the last year is how poor a player Jason puncheon now is. He is in one of the most important positions on the pitch and his total lack of ability to pass the ball forwrd instead of sideways is baffling his constant moaning lack of bottle and stupid fouls he gives away is a major part why the team are not functioning get rid of him and things will start in improving watch him closely and you'll see what a crab he is he offers nothing and just turns back and kills our forward motion in attack

frankly Jules great as he was he is past his sell by date and lacks any match practice, what you should be saying is Pardew has left us in a mess aided by SP!

Maybe the second, I'll give you that. 100% agree with your last paragraph though, well said.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

I don't really understand what's going on. At the start of the season we were unlucky and losing games we deserved something from, but recently we have been playing so poorly like half the team have given up.
On paper our team is pretty impressive

The collective loss of confidence of a year of poor results?

There was a spark with the new signings, but without fixing the team's structural problems which have been obvious for over a year, the summer's signings were never going to provide more than a temporary blip. We are where we are in the table because the team deserves to be there.

Unfit, lacking in confidence, defensively awful. Those problems will take Sam a while to sort out.

Alladyce blames loss on players being shattered..we had the longest break of any team over Christmas..they are supposed to be professional sportsmen, who are paid handsomely for the privelige...listening to him on the BBC website, he is showing about as much enthusiasm as the team. As dull as dish water.

For me it starts and ends with the defence. Not only are they atrocious at defending but they offer f*** all going forward and make it very easy for the opposition to defend (particularly tonight). Not sure what Kelly has to do to get dropped is beyond me. He is so bad it's laughable yet still keeps getting picked.
