Perhaps just hinting to those who stated the game against Watford was a 'must win', before Pardew left, yet after his departure a point is a step in the right direction? I'm looking forward to a fresh start but can't help think you have to be taking 3pts against a side on the down with loads of injuries. I personally think the accountability lies with Delaney, SHOCK, not the new gaffer. Edited by SeagullHunter (27 Dec 2016 11.36am)

If we lose Zaha in this window we're going to be in a world of trouble. He's improved his all round game no end in the last 12 months, which is why our opponents resort to fouling him out of the game and why he gets double and triple marked. We suffered in 2016 from the loss of Bolasie and we'll do the same in 2017 without Zaha. We won't improve as a team by selling our best and replacing them with the average, slightly-above-average and journeymen. There's plenty of dross to be cleared out to the Championship and League One if we need funds. The summer could be a different story although I don't think Zaha will like being a little fish in a big pond that's full of sharks; he'd certainly need a different attitude to the one he took with him to Man U.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

It was still a must win game and one that we should have won if it hadn't been for a very poorly taken penalty by Benteke and a moment of madness by Delaney. What makes it worse is that we now go to Arsenal with only one recognised central defender and our defence is already poor enough as it is

Every palace fan has him as the fairy on top of their Christmas tree because he is the only one who can provoke imaginary scenes of beautiful carnage in the opposition box, but we have to be realistic because of his abilities and age he will want and need to play in a team much higher up in the table then we can honestly ever be and if a big offer comes in the brass is not going to look the other way, especially if it unsettles and then reduces the item in the shop window.
