Apparently Cardiff are trying to say that the result we got there should not stand due to the supposed leak. Thoughts? Not against you personally mate but you're the most recent poster that seems to think the powers that be would want to "screw us over" ! What do you base this on ? Complete rubbish, Palace make the same contributions towards their partition in the Premier League, they will get same treatment as any other club. As stated before: SECTION B Rule B15 states: "In all matters and transactions relating to the league each club shall behave towards each other club and the league with the utmost good faith". SECTION B Rule 17 goes on, "A Club shall not without the Board’s prior written consent either during its membership of the League or at any time after its membership has terminated disclose or divulge either directly or indirectly to any Person whatsoever or otherwise make use of any confidential information as to the business or finances of the League or any other Club or any of their dealings, transactions or affairs or as to any other matters which may come to its knowledge by reason Also there is no mention of this type of issue in APPENDIX 5 & 6 Managers and clubs code of conduct. So unless the Premier league introduce a new rule, it's a storm in a teacup, as this sort of thing has been going on for years, even when I was playing it was going on, every club tried to get their opponents lineup before they named theirs, and I retired in 1977, it's called trying to outwit your opponent. Exactly - As I said earlier, there is no actual 'rule' that has been broken, you could argue if we did do this then we went against a very shaky and vague ethical 'guidleine' to which no-one can actually pass a judgement on It seems as though we are both correct, a lawyer has looked at this for FYP and his spin on this is: In an even more bizarre twist, Cardiff have claimed that after Moody had discovered the line-up, he mistakenly sent a text message to former Palace boss Dougie Freedman with the information; before Freedman alerted his friend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about the leak. The BBC explained that the document sent to the Premier League notes that Cardiff midfielder Aron Gunnarsson is named as the source of the leak; something which the player and his agent both have denied. We asked our resident lawyer, Andy Street to give us his view on the situation, and he believes there is nothing for Palace fans to worry about. Would appreciate it if you could link to the article rather than copying and pasting it in its entirety. Edited by Nevermind (18 Apr 2014 12.42pm) never mind

The Premier League regulation L.21. below implies that there is a latest time that the team sheets must be made available not an earliest time before a match. The original FA rule regarding the availability of team sheets was probably to ensure that at least 7 players in each team would play and that a match could legitimately begin. If Tan seriously thinks that keeping his team sheet confidential until the last minute before a game is the secret to success in the Premier league he is deluded. L.21. At least one hour before the time fixed for the kick-off of a League Match, a senior member of the coaching staff and the first team captain of each participating Club shall attend a briefing with the referee and hand to him and their opponents and, subject to Rule K.80, make available to the media a team sheet

Vincent Tan does behave like a narcissist who finds it hard to accept he is ever wrong or makes a bad judgement.(sacking Malky Mackay for example)..Palace left him with a limp p**** and seeing 'Red' !! ..the realisation that he has made a bad investment and his investment will be relegated, has left him clutching at straws believing that his money will always be the winner..Sadly wrong methinks..and will probably go the same way that Blackburn and their chicken farmers took them..

More like Tan couldn't find out who to drop the brown envelope to at the PL and FA to ensure a successful outcome to his complaint - it's the Malay way of doing things.....

Not sure it would make any difference now. The PL can't just ignore what was said

I think that the second they officially drop the accusations then the league should grow enough bollocks to immediately deduct cardiff ten points for lyign and deliberately dragging the good name of a rival club through the mire.
