chelski.... be honest...... do you really like Roman Abramovich and what he has done to your club?

The quick answer should be yes.... lots of trophies and attracting great players to your club.

But think about it a bit more and you realise that Chelsea's reputation is slowly going down the toilet. The managerial merrygoround with Benitez being booed and any decent manager distancing himself from the appointment, the Clattenburg incident, Terry and his antics on/off pitch, the way Lampard has been treated?

We had Simon Jordan.. a poor man's Abramovich and he nearly destroyed our club despite declaring he had our best interests at heart.

What is your opinion on all this?

Fair points and I will be totally honest. Since Roman arrived we have had massive success and I honestly would not give up anything for the Leagues, FA Cups and that amazing night in Munich. This is not a 'dig', think back to the feelings you had when Palace won the play off finals and imagine experiencing that joy as much as we have in the last ten years- truely amazing.

However, yes I do get tired of the unsavory headlines and wish they didnt happen. No one really likes their club having to deal with the things you mentioned.

In terms of managers, i think that many have been mistakes. I felt sorry for Ancelotti and Di Matteo but Scholari was useless, as was Grant, and AVB. Benitez should never have been appointed but I was pleased that the fans on Saturday got behind the team and didnt focus on that issue, because I have never booed a player or manager.
Biggest mistake was getting rid of Jose but rumour has it he is on his way back.

Thanks for your honesty... this is exactly what my brother thinks... he has been a season ticket holder at The Bridge since the 70's.

I used to go with him when Palace were away and loved the atmosphere with Ozzy, Chopper et al and The Shed was mental.

And thank you for a sensible question. Heady days those, but thats why we love the game and our club so much-for those moments. The ones you never forget!!

I'll give you one more truely honest opinion. As much as I despice Arsenal and Tottenham I would want every fan to experience what I did in Munich with their team.

Oh and PS I am not your brother in case you were worried LOL

You seem like a decent bloke.. my brother is a bit of a tool these days.

Good luck against Manure on Sunday... now there's a club I despise.... their fans are armchair glory hunters!

And thanks. Think we may struggle to be honest!

What are your thoughts on Gus Poyet Chelski? I would love to see how Brighton take it if you took him off of them!

Chelski-

yes you've won more silverware
yes you're a bigger club
yes your kids beat ours (although most of ours came through our academy. how many of yours did? half?)

None of this changes the fact that we'd all much rather be riding the roller coaster that is supporting Palace than have our club turned into what Chelsea has become. If I couldn't afford a ticket at Selhurst because some fair weather fans were turning up to watch over payed, over priced primadonnas who have no connection to the club they play for, I'd be very pissed off.

You coming on here and pointing this out to us completely reaffirms the view that Chelsea is everything that is wrong with modern football, and it sickens me that your 'fans' have soaked it up.

I wouldn't dream of going on to Carlisle's forum and list 100 reasons why we are a bigger club, Doing so makes you, and your club, seem pretty pathetic. You are welcome to all your success, but give me a cold Tuesday night at Selhurst Park against Hull over what your success has cost you any day.

At least our club doesn't have fans that hold banners saying Ollie out, can you say the same about Rafa?

The question is how many of the Chelsea first team are products of its own youth system? Palace has always produced a steady stream of academy youngsters through its first team ranks and on to big success. Isn't that the real measure of a proper football club?

Not whether some flash Russian billionaire is prepared to throw huge amounts of money, that probably rightfully belongs to the people of Russia, at his own personal plaything and buy in success. Despite its success in terms of silverware Chelsea now represents the stripping away of decent values in the game and I was once happy to watch the blues in the 70s and 80s.

Oh dear 'the old' football has been ruined arguement. The one brought out by fans of clubs who have no success and little money and who would rather watch there team play in the championship than the champions league!!
Ok, so I assume that if you go up you wont want Palace to take the 100 million on offer from Sky??? Oh and if you start buying world class players from abroad you wont want them either?? Get real, you will 'lap it up' along with every other Palace fan!
As a Palace fan, of course you would rather be watching Hull on a cold Tuesday night (good result by the way) but most of the footballing world were tuned in to Man Utd v Real Madrid because thats what football fans want and in fact thats what you all want to, its just you are unlikely to get it.
Palace fans crave success and trophies just the same as all other fans and they want to watch the top players week in, week out. Thats why you are all getting excited by the possibility of promotion.
When you went up before I dont recall Palace fans complaining at the foreign players coming in to the club? In fact isnt one of those players still there (Speroni?). Not all foreign players are mercenaries.

I'd rather a warm night in Munich ANY day and so would you!!!!!
Question: What two games had the highest attendance at Palace in the last two seasons?
