When she asked why he had done that he said that he wanted to see her mascara run. He then goes on to use that in a "comedy" routine. Which came first is questionable. But making a statement that "He likes to do that" is fairly damning. Saville got away with his actions for decades because the Police and CPS constantly said insufficient evidence. It was only when TV did a report after his death that it finally came out. Brand's actions and comments have always been questionable and even sick. In my opinion his actions will result in a prosecution.

Perverts and crooks are in every walk of life, I would think. What is gripping my bits at the moment, is that all investigations seem to be conducted by the media (BBC and C4) , all in the public eye, very much by the organisations that facilitated allegations and similar activities. IF any illegal stuff happened, that is for the CPS and police to decide.

I watched the TV show and there was a section where a recorded chat with Saville was played where Brand offers to send his young assistant to him. Very uncomfortable. He was forcing himself on young girls. Says who? You are indulging in speculation based on hearsay and the testimony of people with whom he had consensual relationships. This is a kangaroo court created by the media which has decided to make a big story out of it rather than taking it to the police. Why? Is their agenda for the people behind this beyond trying to make a name for themselves? Remember Martin Bashir?

There were apologises from him on text and voice messaging for his behaviour to the ladies concerned. Did you read my previous post where he offered his young assistant to Jimmy Saville? And said she will do anything I say or lose her job!! The man is scum. As I said previously. Going to the Police does not always result in the correct action being taken. Jimmy Saville for one. Decades of abuse. And they were not all consensual. He attacked his assistant. That was one of the cases where he apologised.

Because the media are really good at conducting investigations. Colin Stagg ? Christopher Jefferies ? And no investigations at all into their own employees. This should be left to the police and CPS, otherwise it's just another PR hatchet-job.

They should be encouraging employees to come forward and talk about their experiences in private, rather than allowing for this trial by media. There are countless, and I mean countless, stories of this kind of behaviour from so many current TV personalities but no one ever wants to speak up because the support culture isn't there.

He was forcing himself on young girls. I disagree with the idea that there's a difference. I'm skeptical of the claim that Brand forced women to have sex. I'm willing to be convinced but personally I've stated what I think is happening here and I'm of the view that there's nothing there other than some women resent the guy for whatever reason. It's been highlighted how the establishment is extremely choosey about who it goes after and when.....Some people pick up on that and some don't or choose to ignore it. However, anyone with a memory better than a goldfish remembers how the press were: Can't remember that politician who was accused of raping that fruitcake, who was lying all along....died not long after. (though I'm aware that this stuff does happen...but we don't hear about it) Gutter press is an understatement.....and it's even the broadsheets in today's environment.

Keeping this about the BBC, what has re-surfaced in recent 'outings' is the number of times (routinely) BBC cars and chauffeurs were used to ferry around 'friends'/'victims' of celebrity's to keep them away from the press. More licence-fee payers money just spunked up the wall. And now there'll likely be legal fees and severance pay. My friend had a warning letter from the TV licence people last week. He's on not much above minimum wage. Different worlds

Sometime ago when i came back to the UK, there were 14 such letters, all got binned. I stream stuff now, thanks to the grandkids to show me how.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I have yet to see something that convinces me of anything other than the fact that Brand used his position to shag as many women as possible and was proud of it. He has never been afraid to express what some would call sexist attitudes, and perhaps did things that in retrospect were unwise given his celebrity status and potential vulnerability to exactly these sorts of accusations. When the CPS decides that he can be prosecuted for something specific, and he is found guilty in a fair trial, we can call him a criminal. How this affects his career going forward is another story.
