I don’t think the British public would have stayed in and isolated unless the crisis had begun. It’s just not what a lot of brits do, as we’ve seen and see more and more now. On the PPE. There should have been more and they should have got it faster. There never would’ve been as much as we wanted or needed though. The lack of border controls was a very bad mistake. I wonder how many left wing hindsight merchants disagreed on closing borders on an ideological level. Look, even private school teachers, head teachers and parents made the mistake of allowing pupils back into school, only to inform them not to attend the 2nd day. All over villagey bits of London there were people having coffee in coffee shops after a week in covid spreading ski resorts, bars and restaurants. They’re supposed to be the smart ones. If you want to blame the government for not acting sooner then you probably have about 3 weeks as that is the time it seems we’re behind Italy or Spain. Of course it’s a travesty nhs staff have died doing their job. If it had spread even faster than it did then at least we had the nightingale hospitals set up so that healthier people didn’t have to die because we weren’t prepared. But you just keep banging on about the same thing which you’re exaggerating anyway. The conservatives were not, are not, responsible for tens of thousands of deaths. You make it sound like local parks have bodies piled up ready for burial and Boris should be beheaded on tv.

Ah now I will take issue. I dont read anyone saying mistakes havent been made. Personally i think it should have locked down earlier. People are actually saying wait until it's over before analysing and pointing fingers. Even wissie! Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Just a note on the PPE, did labour build a stock whilst in power for 12 years just in case, and why dont we use that. Oh hang on! It may be because it has a shelf life or they as well couldn't foresee a 100 year pandemic. I reckon you must leave a game at half time if its nil nil because we may concede in the 2nd half.

I got a mate who is a paramedic who states the biggest problem with the NHS isnt funding it's the management of how the money is spent by senior NHS staff. Says its suffering mainly because of being a political football and to much red tape from bosses that serve no purpose. After this I think there will be calls for the system to change. But again I worry that sensible debate will be thrown out the window and far left bullies will see any form of change as privatatisation and the alt right would say that if it wasnt for immigrants it wouldn't need to change.

Yeah, right on both points. far to much management and bureaucracy, and the immigration thing always comes in to play! Whether it"s to many foreign patients clogging up the system or to many foreign doctors and nurses taking our jobs, gone a little quiet on that front in the last two months!

I swear that panorama documentary stated that the PPE was for influenza which would of made it inadequate against coronaviruses and that its shelf life would of expired yet people still use it to bash the government. I read somewhere it still would of been better with bin bags. But if they used that they would still criticise them for needing to rely on old PPE. They keep moving the goal posts.
