Creepy Joe Biden has rather amusingly stated in a recent interview that there was no Russian election interference under his and Obama's watch. The old fool didn't seem to realise that the election campaign was in 2016 and that Trump didn't take office until 2017.....So actually if there was any real 'interference' it took place under their watch. Biden used to be sharp but he's missed a few steps.....Trump has as well of course.....but he gets mocked all the time by the left....Now with Biden we have another mumble fumble to smile at. I find it rather interesting that no Trump enthusiast has commented yet on the leaked email affair and the various reactions, not least from the Twitter-in-Chief himself. Now that our Ambassador has had his opinions of the Trump administration revealed in this way, opinions that certainly chime with my own and many others, where do we go from here? Trump's petulant, juvenile, undiplomatic reaction just confirms everything that Sir Kim Darroch said. It must present a significant dilemma for the next PM, particularly if it's Johnson. The British people, on the whole, will not want to see us bending the knee to Trump tantrums and replacing Darroch. I cannot work out who leaked and why. Who can gain?
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Darroch has done nothing wrong so to a point I feel sorry for him the guilty party is the person who leaked the email and it does matter. Whenever a diplomat meets someone of importance they will write a report, all governments do this. Mostly it will not be top secret more impressions or opinions along the lines of "He looked tired or was in fine health and commanded the room" etc. Ambassadors have to have the ability to express their opinion confident that it doesn't become public otherwise they become damaged goods or never say anything. What happens if Trump keels over and the ambassador had seen him the night before and he looked ill but he was too scared to mention it. These things matter. Certain posts are more important than others. Washington ambassador is the top post because they are our closest allies so it's important that the ambassador gets on with the administration. If it was Iran I would tough it out he only has 6 months left to do. However he has to go because Trump will not meet him. You cannot have damaged goods with your closest ally. The real question is why was Darroch not moved on when Trump become President. His is a pro Remain and pro Clinton so was never a good fit for the new President. I would hope that once we have a new PM Darroch will do the new PM a favour and fall on his sword. As to the motives as to why this was leaked it maybe some form of sinister plot or it could simply be because someone could. We seem to live in an age where individuals think they are entitled to decide what is right regardless of the democratic process.

I am struggling to understand the motivation. I get that if you are a sick pedo and a billionaire you can afford to buy young girls. What I don't get is why you would open yourself up to discovery by offering them to your friends. How does that conversation start "Hi Bill I'm a pedo I think you might like underage girls too fancy coming to one of my sex parties?" Anyway lets hope it all comes out in public and the guilty are named and shamed.
