This post has been merged from a topic called 'New Manager Thoughts' by kenbarr De Boer and Pellegrino interviewed and both impress. Dyche not yet interviewed as he has been on holiday. Will be approached this week and depending on how he performs expect a decision by end of the week. Three good options. De Boer my least favourite. Had great set up at Ajax in poor league in Holland so of course he would look good. Then blew it at Inter Milan where he had good squad but could not handle pressure of desire and demand from club and fans alike. Probably de Boer is a better coach than manager. Pellegrino did wonders with Alves in La Liga where it is dominated by 2-3 clubs. Would be a possible gamble but so was Pochettino and look how he did at Southampton and Spurs. Dyche has done wonders at Burnley and was doing well at Watford and removed due to foreign owners. Has knowledge of the premier league but can he take his work to the next level that we would want at Palace. I would prefer Pellegrino. Knows Sammy Lee and prefers a pressing and counter attacking game which suits our squad. Also has wide range of premier and euro football knowledge. SO what are your thoughts out there?

According to Ed maylon unsure how reliable but he seems to think the odds are wrong and dyche and pellergino both joint favourites

Just tried to chuck a tenner on Pellegrino with Ladbrokes but they have suspended betting.....could mean something *clutches staws*. Edited by lefty27 (19 Jun 2017 4.53pm)

Franko does not. He suits Southampton and it would be the strangest thing for us both to pick the wrong man. Each other's man. Money coming in on Pellegrino. Shortened quite a bit. Frankly still fav, for now.

No no no no to Dyche. Would be incredibly dissatisfied with taking 4 weeks to appoint the easy and boring option.

From what I've heard Palace have made zero contact with Dyche or Burnley. I think if they had any interest at all they'd have at least sounded the bloke out by now.

ESPN reporting that Pellegrino is about to open talks with Southampton and could be unveiled as their new manager by the end of the week.

My thoughts are that there is a thread entitled New manager discussion that runs in to hundreds of pages.
