Read my post. You can't sign a deal with a player until the club deal is signed but you can have an outline agreement which I am sure they have in some detail. Now it's cross the is and dot the ts.

No way they will have put themselves into the position where the player has all the cards at the 11th hour.

A medical takes a few hours, who knows what time it started?

Don't think it matters too much if it's confirmed today or tomorrow - having not played at all with Liverpool in pre-season and not trained with us once, I doubt we'd be throwing him in against Spurs. Might get half an hour against Bournemouth but only because our attacking options are so desperately thin.

Why do you say that? It's quite rare for a deal to fail at the medical/terms stage. It does happen, but it's unusual and we'd have to be very unlucky.
