All that does is discourage surrender - making Ukraine even harder to beat.

I think when the Ukraine were murdering prisoners I think I was the only person who commented about it on here.....and by the way the castration of Pows was started by them.

There are videos of Ukrainians murdering Russian Pows freely available and have been for months.

But the media are mainly one way and will mute what's inconvenient while shouting about what they want heard.

I said at the time that war crimes are being committed by both sides because.....pathological fecks exist on both sides. Anyone doing this sick sh1t to another human being deserves a bullet in the head regardless of what side they are on.

As a slight aside, UEFAhave confirmed who is reffing the final on sunday for the lasses . . . UEFA have confirmed that Kateryna Monzul is set to referee Sunday's Euro 2022 final at Wembley.

She becomes the first Ukrainian to take charge of the showpiece, having officiated three games at the tournament already.

Who'd have thunked that would happen with such an upright law-abiding un-biased major company like them. Just as good as the bbc now(imo)

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

We can all play the outrage game about the actions of individual soldiers with plenty out there showing Russian POW's, and locals suspected of supporting what they see as their liberation, suffering horrendous treatment as well.

The difference is that nobody is defending the alleged actions of the Russians. Whereas I have seen plenty of people saying that the Ukrainians are entitled to mistreat Russian POW's.

If these videos are genuine then the Russian troops involved should be held to full account. Absolutely zero doubts about that.

Couldn’t have put it better.

Also looks like the Ukrainians may have used an American supplied HIMARS and managed to kill some 40 Ukranian prisoners of war.

Unironically blaming the Russians for attacking their own installation.

It's possible, but unlikely considering their own troops were guarding them.

Missile pieces and investigation would hopefully confirm who shot what.....not that anybody really gives a damn about the truth in this war.

The most probable explanation is that it was mistaken targeting by the Ukrainians.

I didn't play any outrage game. I don't believe POWs should be mistreated either. From a military viewpoint it's counter-productive. There are always going to incidents though.

Some in this dodgy thread are falling over themselves with excuses for Putin and creating what equates to a path to unquestioned war crimes for him. I doubt anyone here has said that "Ukrainians are entitled to mistreat Russian POW's".

Regardless of outcome, Ukrainians are unlikely to quickly forgive or forget what is being done to them by their neighbour.

It was earlier implied in the thread that as the Russians had invaded that concern for their treatment was less relevant than concern for the Ukrainians.

Also, when I highlighted war crimes against Russians it was notable just how little concern there was.

I think it's valid to condemn all of these abuses. No one should have a side when any of this happens.

Not that I think being overly wedded to a side in this conflict makes that much sense.
