I don't think his name is actually Zaha.

According to Companies House his name is Judicael Boris, Rodrigue Inchaud and he gives his occupation as football agent and his nationality as French.

Yep. He's a director in 2 co's Wilf owns & has his own 'agency' set up as, I kid you not, "Just Too Good Ltd".

Even SSN stopped referring to him as Wilf's brother pretty quickly after it was pointed out.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

I’m more concerned about whether when Wilf turned up for training, there was anyone else there with any talent. Which is probably why he has left it as late as possible.

To be fair, he is a local lad who has played nearly 250 games for them in the heart of the defence and has been a good servant to them over the years. He is well thought of by their supporters.

The Independent is claiming that Zaha is expecting to join Everton for £65m prior to the window closing ( those mysterious sources again).
The condition supposedly attached is that the full fee is paid up front.
No way of knowing if any of this is true but the part about having the whole fee up front smacks of a desperate need for funds which is worrying.
What is going on?
I recall Ray Houghton , who is well connected in football and not given to wild speculation, saying that Palace had no money which surprised me at the time.
The drastic slimming of the squad and sale of AWB point in this direction.

So sell Zaha for £65m and given our transfer policy to date, we'll have to sign Lallana for £30m and £100k a week.

What a blooooody shambles.
If Wilf goes now, we are leaving ourselves totally exposed even if we bring in the 2 lads at Brentford.

Don’t believe Houghton is purporting to be a financial guru of the club.
However, he has his ear to the ground where football is concerned and is, I would suggest, better informed than most on here.
And it is strange in the era of the ‘cash cow’ of the Premier League we are cost cutting , selling our player of the year, and shopping for last minute bargains.
There’s a difference between being prudent and desperate.
