Very stupid. Still very stupid. And stupid for him, not really for us , although it’s getting tedious and cringeworthy. I’m sure he’ll be professional once football gets going but camp Zaha hasn’t been very professional this summer. More naive and desperate and not really as in demand as they thought or hoped. He couldn't have had worse PR .Like you say it may all be forgotten on the pitch. It has started to leave a bad taste though.. and I until recently excused this stuff away.

Petulance on the floor after a foul feels quite similar to some of the stuff that’s gone on, hasn’t it? But it’s still going on and these clubs are watching and not going for it. I suggest Zaha sits down with a psychologist and focuses this season rather than wastes a chunk of it on interviews, comments about fouls, gesturing to refs and all the other cr@p that always requires a teammate to stop him.

That approach wouldn't go amiss. His attitude is a waste of energy, but I think if the results come people will turn a blind eye. It's not good for moral though, of team or fans really, this apparent lack of any real allegiance.

The laughable bits are; Arsenal fan, wants to go to Arsenal, then spurs, as he did 2 years ago I think it was, then warming to Everton, then videos himself in a Man Utd mit. Wtf? Or is this just usual of young tv fans? Just not that into their club? Just pick it up at their convenience?

I believe some people have chatted so much nonsense about Zaha this thread and I don’t agree at all with some of what you’re saying Rudi. Why is it at all stupid for him to wear a Man U kit of his friend and team mates after he had a horrific injury? As for Zaha’s ‘petulance’ he is a highly emotional player, it’s one of the things that makes him so exciting to watch. Andros’ goal against Bournemouth is case and point of what happens when he is fired up and why he plays with his heart on his sleeve. He is fouled more than any other player in the league and isn’t protected by referees. If I were him I’d be as pissed off. As for the other stuff about his behaviour this summer. He has done absolutely nothing wrong so far. He wants to leave, personally I think that’s absolutely fair enough in my opinion and I think he deserves a crack at a top club. Sadly for him a big enough bid didn’t come in. Still he never went in strike, he didn’t hand in a transfer request, and he personally hasn’t spoken to the media at all. Even directly asked during the AFCON he still showed respect for the club and didn’t comment on the rumours. A couple of family members made comments about his desires, desires that are fully justified in my opinion, but that’s about as far as it went. In my opinion the only people showing a lack of respect are the fans here calling our greatest player spoilt and unprofessional based on here-say and made up nonsense along with misrepresentations of what he does on social media. I think he deserves better.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think people are really giving Zaha far too much credit to think that there is always a hidden meaning behind his social media posts and that he wears certain things as cryptic clues. I doubt it even crossed his mind at the time about what he was wearing. He could post a pic of him smiling saying brilliant day and people would interpret that as Sky's Kav has just given him a blowie on the way to the Bernabeu.

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong |

Zaha is a fan of social media and all he has to do is to deny some or all of the rumours surrounding him but the fact that he hasn't speaks volumes
