He could propose free blowjobs on the NHS, still wouldn't win.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

Well for one thing, he is a man who puts his own minority views and his personal ego before his own party and their future. He is like the mythological King Knut commanding the waves to retreat. In this case, the waves of reason. Of course the real King Knut was not such a knob. No leader could be and gain any respect, except from people who were equal knobs.

How many of those ten policies are minority views?

How many of those ten policies are minority views? I don't actually mind Corbyn (there, I've said it) he seems to be a man of principle, at least. The trouble is, though, he seems to be in a position above his abilities. The list of 'policies' are in many cases unimplementable, for example not just 'full employment', but full employment in 'decent jobs'. I'm sorry, but how do you define that? Is a street sweeper not a decent job? Who's going to do that then, when we are all doing worthy things? Not many would object to many of the things listed, but they just won't happen. If Nick Griffin came out with a list of policies including eradicating cancer, world class public transport free of charge, free annual holidays to the destination of your choice, and a million pound bonus every ten years you are working, all with a 5% income tax rate, it would be hard to object, but they are just not realistic. It's the difference between a principled ideas man and a pragmatic realist, credible as a leader of a nation.

Then throw in Cat Smith, Emily Thornberry, Diane Abbot and Richard Burgon, to name a few and it is hard to see how he can have much positive press. You are taking the the Trump defence of blaming the media but have you seen what Corbyn (or one of his acolytes) Tweets? He is shambolic
