If Southport was South Carolina there would be a body hanging from a lamppost, who would have been lynched to satisfy the desire for immediate retribution. Perhaps some of them were local? The police and community leaders are always quick to blame outside agitators. I guess we will find out when the arrests start happening. Edited by Badger11 (31 Jul 2024 5.25pm)

after the rioters went back to wherever the came from the locals cleaned up the mess this morning. i would expect most of the family members of the victims to have been rioting. Locals all. And honestly, i cannot blame them. And as for the clean-up ? there were two inside 24 hours. With the former one being surely the more harrowing.

Edited by Badger11 (31 Jul 2024 5.25pm) 4 people have been arrested, 1 from St Helens, 1 from West Derby L'pool, 1 from Southport & 1 from Manchester, but, with a probation address in Southport. I'm assuming 1 or the arrested was the bloke with the machete just prior to the vigil last night. A video was posted earlier on this thread, funny how no-one commented.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Local commentators, on the ground ? if they speak government approved opinions...they are 'community leader'
Yep, I heard Starmer mention the 'far right'. As far as I know no 'far right' groups were involved in organising the protest. They have zero power and are well aware that government would jump at the chance to lock them up. As far as I can gather, it was angry Southport locals who organised themselves.

The BBC have spent all day on every outlet trying to marginalise the rioters and up play the damage and local impact. Where was this kind of coverage when BLM or the Leeds riots were happening? We've seen all this kind of establishment driven propaganda before. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (31 Jul 2024 6.18pm)

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (31 Jul 2024 6.18pm) young kids got stabbed by an Algerian criminal in Dublin ( in Eire, which is militarily neutral, hence innocent of any Middle-East bloodshed ). Riots followed. The government went nuts to condemn and catch all the rioters. Edited by PalazioVecchio (31 Jul 2024 6.25pm)

It's okay and not racist to riot or protest if it fits the right looney lefties wokie agenda. The BLM riots / protests were during the heights of lockdown aswell and it was okay. But got forbid you pop in and see a relative for a tea or go for a longer than usual walk you were "far right", arrested and or fined.

the stabber with the Rwandan family was free to wander the streets. In spite of previously having knivess and more Red flags than a communist parade. meanwhile the cops are arresting a woman for standing silently within a hundred yards of an abortion clinic. Or imprisoning Enoch Burke cos he refuses to call a trans person 'they'. 400 days in jail. and the Southport-stabber walked free.
