Probably right. And he'd cost north of £20m? But the point is we've never replaced him and we badly need a fast defensively sound RB , and cover for Mitchell

I don’t think we have been playing without a right back in the games I have seen, since he left.

A permanent sicknote. PV says he's back in trying, which means....

To get fit again.....At one stage Palace regarded him very highly, if he could get fit and stay fit. I think young players find it extremely hard to cope with the rigours of the PL.. eg Chris Richards did really well at centre back, only to get injured again...

If Wan Bissaka is available in the summer we should snap him up. We need replacements for Ward and Clyne and his market value will have dipped somewhat since he's not in the first team at Manure

I don't follow their fortunes too closely therefore would not be able to say with certainty but I thought AWB had started for Man U for a while now? Seems ETH has settled upon him as his starting RB. If that's the case I'd suggest that unless Utd procure a replacement, starting XI RB then we will be unable to get our hands back on him.

He does look improved from what I've seen of him and even physically looks a bit more like a 'man' now. I still wish him all the best despite my hatred for the club (as he is a SELondon, Palace youth product) however I see his return as unlikely, much as I would welcome it.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Isn't he? I believe he has played in the majority of games for them in recent months and is doing well. He's increasingly playing as a wing back when Man U have the ball and is tidy in his work. Even if Man U did decide to get rid of him I doubt we could afford him and in any event he would likely be snapped up by one of the other big clubs or a resurgent Villa or even the Spammers.

I believe Diogo Dalot is first choice as RB or RwB?

He certainly was in the first half of the season before his injury, when AWB got his chance to show what he could do at RB. However, it was Dalot who played LB last night against Forest. That, of course, may have been because he is the more flexible of the two players when it comes to where they can play.

I shall watch Manures starting line ups for rest of season with interest. My impression is the RWB is certainly in the first team squad but not necessarily first choice defensive right back or wing back?

Being touted as 25 mil. If we could maybe pay installments and add-ons would be worthwhile.

I don't really get the fascination in bringing back AWB.

I'm not totally convinced he will leave Man Utd, and if they do want to offload then I suspect the price will be quite high. There are other options out there worth exploring.

I've always thought we should try for Djed Spence at Spurs. Or if you wanted to a more left field (albeit right back) option, then Isiah Jones at Middlesborough. I have also seen people mentioning Neco Williams at Forest.

Djed Spence was loaned out to Rennes this season after a handful of games for Tottenham and he has played in 10 games for the French club.

Isaiah Jones has lost his place to Tommy Smith at Middlesbrough.

Useful info Willo. There are probably cheaper options at RB or RBW out there. Dougie, over to you!
