Same here in Ireland and we do always have a passport check at every airport and even from ferries. We could have banned or checked everyone if there had been a will to do it. Instead we have a situation whereby we are going to go into lock down tonight or tomorrow. Await the midnight declaration. Wow sorry mate.

Wow sorry mate. Thanks. Immediate cremation and no actual funeral. There have only been two deaths so far in Ireland - as far as I'm aware.

Blimey. Let's just hope for the best. My neighbour was 80 something and sick for a while so not exactly time to panic.

just witnessed the total fck-up that is Coronovirus today. Still, the UK Government is not shutting schools. The Irish are shutting theirs for 16 weeks. So in the UK, infected kids (who show no symptoms) are freely allowed to mix with other kids and adults and grandparents. Good start. Meanwhile mainland Europe has become the epi-centre for the virus. Why is that ? Muppets of low intelligence. Yes, a good crisis always brings out the worst in the British Public. We must lead the world in moronic, self-interested parasites. I have toothache pending my visit to the dentist tomorrow ... do you think I could find a paracetamol on a supermarket shelf anywhere? Don't tell anyone but I found some in a small cornershop!!! May all the stupid people O/D, rot their skins with hand sanitiser or $hit themselves to death.

I appreciate this is on the very low end with all the madness that is going on however my trip to Singapore and Indonesia will now be cancelled as both governments have just announced they don't want UK tourists. I expect the Travel agent will confirm this tomorrow but it's on the FCO website so is official. Hopefully it means I get my money back so I am afraid you will have to put up with me a bit longer. On the bright side it means I can now co-ordinate the help plan for my block of flats whose residents are mainly over 70. As many are pre war babies they do not take kindly to being told to stay in doors by a namby pamby government so I think I will have to nail their front doors shut. That generation are built of sterner stuff then us youngsters Hitler couldn't bomb them out of their homes and I doubt Boris will be able to keep them in them. Be well people.
