Imagine what Parish would say if Fulham or Leeds put in a low bid for Zaha with add ons based on them getting into Europe

Also, at say £15m that's half of what we are likely to get for Wilfred (given his £130k pw wage bill. It doesn't seem like a true comparison to me between the two players.

Do you really believe that we were the only team talking to QPR at any stage? Do you think Eze was hiding under a rock and we stumbled across him on a night out? Every club in the division is very aware of the player and lots of those same clubs will have expressed interest.

Do you think that if we put a bid in that QPR will just accept it and tell the rest it was first come first served. They will wait as long as possible to get as many clubs as possible into a bidding war.

Of course QPR want as much as they can get for him. But my sense is that next week will be very busy for all clubs as the season approaches, and they will want if at all possible to get their buying and selling business done. Will Eze be a Palace player next week? Answers on a postcard!

Anyway enough of all this, sit back & chill. I said the same with Ferguson in Feb. I’m 95% certain the deal will happen as with many deals, inc Darren Bent, it’s never fully done until they’re holding up the shirt.

Give it a week or so.

Nope and that’s one of the main reasons we won’t sign him. We don’t beat clubs to sign players. Fact is if he’s been identified as one of our main targets ( I don’t know he has) we could have had it wrapped up by now. QPR reportedly desperate to sell. We’ve likely just low balled. We’ll walk away from this deal it’s almost guaranteed. The deal wasn’t right for us. We’re just cheap. We’ve overpaid on Benteke and Sakho and wages on others and this is where we are.

I agree. I am trying to limit my visits to Holmesdale ...can't deal with the uncertainty either!

Is he saying anything different to Dazza? Am I missing something?

I am sorry to say this but I can see Fulham riding over the hill with their chequebook open and signing him up under our noses. We should have once again just have committed ourselves a bit more first time around!
