And that report is from The Guardian so must be true.
ID cards were seemingly a very divisive issue but what was the problem with them? Not many people don’t carry some form of id. There used to be a photo card necessary to buy a weekly train ticket so what’s the difference?

It's funny. All these problems that we now need to tackle, none of which existed before mass immigration.
Politicians created the problem and now they want to tell us what to think about it.

I agree it was them who created the problem but what I find more interesting is no one ever asked or told the British public what they were going to do.
Changing a societies make up is as important as brexit but no referendum for mass immigration.

I think I can be fairly confident of the result of a do we want mass immigration, yes or no? Referendum.

It's too late to undo the damage already done but we could limit further damage by reducing the numbers to a trickle now.

If you did a poll that said 'do you want to pay taxes'?

I think most would say no

In Greece the poll is slightly different it's 'will you ever pay taxes'.

You may be right but then, that suggests that immigration is a no brainer NO vote for most people.
Kind of arguing against yourself with that.

With tax, it is obvious that some form of contribution is required to run a society unless it is a cost free utopia. That ain't gonna happen so I believe that most would see a need to pay tax at some level.

With mass immigration, a case could be made for it but as it has been shown countless times, it is a flawed argument and one which only serves business and the chancellor in the short term. The long term effects will be disastrous.
When you cut through all the tiresome and completely inaccurate accusations of 'racism', the truth is easy to demonstrate and the lies easy to expose.

Around 70% of adults carry id already its called a photo driving licence or a freedom pass. I had to check them at the last election.

I also noticed that many people had a provisional driving licence which they told me they used as id and they didn't drive. I now have one myself only cost about £20.

The government should encourage people to have one much easier than carrying your passport.

Indeed. So the inference is that the only people objecting to carrying an id card are those with a vested interest.
