The fanatics formed in 2005 so I wouldnt call 13 years a passing fad ? Maybe You'd call CPFC2010 a passing fad ?? whereas Marge and Bert are the life blood of the club, who turned up during the bad times ,and will still turn up when inevitably the bad times return. The life blood of the club is the TV money like it or lump it gate receipts from any of us are not the main bread winner for any clubs in the prem any more, it's sky's money and merchandise that is the main bread winner, and for your info I've been going to football at Selhurst since I was 6 41 years ago. And in my opinion the HF create an atmosphere unparalleled through out my time at the club. The display at the FA Cup final was surley the best in the FA cups history. If the HF believe they have such an influence over the team's performance then they have betrayed the Palace by disbanding, and if we are relegated this season,it will be partly down to them in that case. I don't profess to know what the HF think, what I am giving you is my own personnel opinion, which is just as valid as yours. if we are relegated this season it will be because we don't have a goal scorer, which is criminal considering how long we have had to get one. That fault lies firmly with the board and people who run the club. However I do believe that the atmosphere does help the players, so yes in a certain type of warped context you could be right, and I have never said that the HF have behaved with nothing but the best intrest of the club, a lot of it smacks of spoilt brat type behaviour. However the undeniable fact is that the atmosphere is better with that without. Furthermore what you say on a football website means diddly as well. Marge and Bert have paid their dues and have every right to retain their seats, they won't flounce off if things aren't going well on the pitch. Errrrm that's BS I've been going a long time as have you no doubt, and I can remember getting 7-8000 if we were lucky, so no I'm not having that one. And whilst they may have paid there dues it gives them no more right than anyone else in the ground who buys a ticket. They do not own the seat for which they pay. i've had the same one for about 6 years now and would move if it meant the atmosphere coming back. There's more to supporting Palace through the generations than waving flags and banging drums. Is there? Because from where I sit those fans in the HF have followed the club through thick and thin up and down the country for well over a decade. I thought as fans we were there to get behind the team and sing our hearts and souls out supporting the team or am I wrong ?
The harsh reality is that Marge and Bert are no more important to the club than the HF FACT. However in this case the HF offer more in the way of physical support lots more in fact. And as such should be rightly recognised for it. Give me one solid tangible reason based in fact that you could argue for them not moving ? Not wanting to move because "I've been here years" is almost bordering on being egocentric. All I have done is way up the pro's and con's of upsetting (for want of a better word) each group of fans, and they HF simply offer more to the club as fans. Now you might not like that FACT. but it is an undeniable one. And Eagle man 13, I'm surprised at you, you know me try not to be so condescending, we clearly disagree but I'm allowed my opinion, as you are yours, making assumptions about me is making things a tad personnel. Lets not go there.

I spoke to a member of PTID (NOT the HF but apparently close to them) on Sunday His belief is that nobody will be forced out. In his opinion those people that ask to stay put and become a part of the singing section will be able to do that I await anyone in authority confirming that. If it is true then I am happy, I wouldn't have minded moving into the HF in any case so them coming to me is fine. As long as they show respect to us old uns, which I suspect is not entirely guaranteed.

This whole fiasco is a farce, childish, petty, pathetic and embarrassing. Block B was where the choir boys were and that is where they should have stayed, until the new stand is built. By the way I like what the choir boys did with the banners and the added atmosphere (home and away) but Block B was their home.

25 year season ticket... Is that seriously a thing? I went to one of the dinners where Jordan was trying to sell these. Started off at 50 years but there was a 25 year offer as well. Cant remember how much it was but it was significantly cheaper than buying annually. And you could bequeath it when you died. I didn't take up the offer, but the dinner was nice! Thinking about it, it was good of the current owners to honour the commitment.
All good. Nothing bad. |

I'd say that's very much the case; it's what most normal people attend a football match for. Erm, your indifference to singing seems to be at odds with your tag-line that berates Brighton's inability to raise an audible chorus?

When we get our atmosphere back they’ll be singing their cringe ‘Ole Ole Ole Ole seagulls’’, which I heard on MOTD. Our singing comes from an independent bunch of Palace fans and always has. No song sheets or clappers or free club flags. Fans fund it when needed. I couldn’t give a shoit what they think once we’ve restored our atmosphere, however it happens. At the moment you have to ignore any taunts until then.

Someone told me that it has been reported there was a bit of a contretemps in Block E yesterday, allegedly due to somebody goading a season-ticket holder that he would be having his seat next season. 'Fake news' or factually correct ?

'Fake news' or factually correct ? There was certainly some action in the first half, towards the back of the block No idea what created that.
