Yeah, I was crucified on here for calling out Punch's reckless and dangerous tackle on KDB on here (after non one had even mentioned it) I was even accused of being a City fan by some on here for bringing attention to it. Puncheon was reckless, clumsy and stupid and could very easily have been sent off. The injury he sustained in the process probably finished him as a Palace player and rendered any card he received academic). De Bruyne however despite being carted off on a stretcher played 90 minutes a couple of days later. It has not however been claimed as far as I know that Puncheon intended to injure de Bruyne; if he did he a) failed miserably and b) got what he deserved. Oh, and it wasn't the fourth minute but the ninety-fourth. Pity Milivojevic didn't put that pen away. Edited by chateauferret (28 Aug 2018 6.11pm)

I agree that he didn't go about cynically to cause crockery. He got caught for pace on the break and knew he had to stop KDB from doing what we all saw him do against Japan in the World Cup. However, it is true to report that no one on here even mentioned it. It was a horror, too, albeit not in the same, cynical and ruthless class as Capoue's assault on Sunday. Just back from my hols and have only had time to catch up on MOTD highlights. No doubt though that Palace prove to be especially profligate with chances in first half. Capoue tackle was easily a red card that shows once again that standard of refereeing in Premiership is very much open to easy fault and that VAR is required. Capoue sending off could've been a game changer for The Eagles.

I have no idea how pi**ed off I would have been to see City score a winner more or less directly from our own penalty kick in the last minute of injury time but I'm pretty sure I would have been audible in Edinburgh.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Is Roy a little stubborn? ' by Midlands Eagle After scoring 3 goals whole of last season and nowhere near goal so far in 3 PL games (though maybe contribute a bit more to the team), how long till Benteke get dropped? After all, he is our main striker and his job is to put ball into the net!!!!Roy, please leave him OUT of the team....I prefer Ayew, but Sørloth or Kaikai will do too.

Watford are going to beat a lot of teams at home if they're constantly allowed to batter the opposition.
