Do they? Perhaps you are right......mind you he gets a lot of the class snobbery stuff.

Robinson is what he is.....I like him.....but he comes with some issues, some of his own making and others that he's been unfairly tarred with.

What matters is that without him, there is no one.....He is a release valve for a lot of steam....and I'm not so sure on your confidence about replacements....or nicer ones anyway.

The Douglas Murray's of the world know to stay in their ivory towers.

As the situation worsens.....We don't even know what's going to be possible. The state is pretty authoritarian as it is.

We can guess that Tommy Robinson will either be locked up for hate speech or something similar. Of course, he may get murdered by some loon or fanatic. Shame, as he does stand for a lot of people.
I find him entertaining which is unfair and condescending of me.

You know that if we could go back to WW1 Robinson is the kind of guy who is the first guy out of the trenches when the whistle is blown.

Like that guy first out of the trench he knows what's most likely to happen, he isn't the stupid thug that his enemies like to portray him as.....but what options have they left him with.

Now he's a figurehead and that's how he makes his money.

Oh boy. So very wrong. I thought you would know your history better. Those first out of the trenches were the trusted ones. Steady types with a strong feeling of duty. The opposite of the self-serving Yaxley.

I was reading my grandfather's memoirs last week. To count him in the same breath as young Stephen makes my blood boil.

Tell you what, maybe Stephen would have suited the Goumiers in the second war. You know about Monte Cassino?

those keyboards aren't going to man themselves, unfortunately our right wing friends have fallen short on direct action or even just giving.

disgusting for people whose direct family fought in either World War. Then we were fighting the nazi's and petty fascism.

It's your opinion Maple, but I think you're very wrong.

As for you knowing what it takes for being first into the fray.....Mmmmm.

But I tip my hat to your grandfather's service.

The first war was very different from the second. Old Percy was first over the top at Festubert. Lost his hearing and was injured, went to hospital, got patched up, went back to the front. Got blown up and could never walk properly again. They were so tough back then.

I thought you would rise to my bait on the Goumiers with whom my father fought. A mixed blessing, like your beloved Yaxley. Not to be trusted, OK if you want someone to come like a thief in the night

Why? Do you think I automatically dislike someone because of their group? Tut tut Maple, every group contains quality people within it, everything is a numbers game.

Robinson is a nationalist and by definition they tend to fight for their country.

Who do you trust then Maple?

Apparently 6 Antifa turned up at the house where Tommy's wife and kids live with a pit-bull and live-streamed the location. But of course that's OK...

Says the arch labeller.

Now you see, I don't think that being a nationalist equates to being brave or fighting for anything other than self interest. Those I have met seem to me to be rather more in the bully camp, not defenders of the weak.

I don't think I spoke of individual Goumiers by the way, I just suggested that Mr Yaxley may fit better with their modus operandi as demonstrated in particular in Italy. Rather than the genuinely brave and selfless generation that fought in the trenches. Or, you could argue, the generation of lost boys without a voice, sent to almost certain death by an awful social system and political failure. Which, by the way, is how Percy saw it as he grew older.

Being a nationalist only tells us that an individual puts their ideas of a sovereign nation first before that of others.....for example internationalists.

Of course you can....rather amusingly....kind of stereotype them as a group all you like....perhaps in your experience you find them to be bullies.....ok that's fine....alpha males can definitely be bullies to differing extents.....soy boys as well though, just not perhaps to the same physical extent.

But as a defining attribute it's a bit poor and I, like many, come from a family with many members, both past and present, who serve in it. The forces contain many people who are nationalists to some extent or other.

I'm interested though Maple....where did you meet these 'bullying nationalists'?
