still too much imo. I was optimistic at first but it just didn't happen, slow and always late on the play. But back on topic happy we finally got a left back if it's all confirmed ! In the opinion of my missus, who is usually spot on, he is just lazy. He has more to give, he is one of those strikers who can be in the right place at the right time when he is firing on all cylinders. Looked a bit half-hearted so far.

Loans: Elabdellaoui, Markovic, Cleverly, Niang Most of these are better than our current starters. Hmmmm. I don't feel too aggrieved that we missed out on any of these. Perhaps Fonte, but I guess that if he had wants to come back then he would have. If we get PVA in, perhaps a CDM then I would feel that we have done OK. Now we have Zaha back and a more balanced defence, I think we have reasons to be cheerful.

And still the wait continues for news of him signing. The Guinness world record has gone today for the longest medical in recorded history, PVA has been on the treadmill for the past 8 hours, he now weighs 4 stone less than he did when he climbed on, meanwhile SP is still trying to negotiate an extra £1.50 off his weekly wage but is secretly having doubts whether the club can stretch to these demands. They reverse vasectomys quicker than we do transfer business.

I agree I feel the second half of the season will go much better and our team looks complete. Especially with Remy back who's looked great so far. I was just commenting on the team seems to be paying too much on certain transfers, but I guess the markets like that now for most.

We were getting slated on Talksport for paying £14m for PVA. Adrian Durham was saying his positional sense at defending was awful. There was a Sunderland fan on who said he is brilliant going forward, but almost needs a taxi getting back to defend. I do wonder if we could be going to a back 5, with wing backs ? Anyway, yes £14m is excessive but I then thought Tottenham paid around that Janssen who can't score goals, and Chelsea paid £30m for Batsuayi who again can't score goals, so £14m for defender who can't defend seems about right.

at the price i wouldnt lose any sleep it he failed the medical. rather we kept the £££'s in the bank that get our pants pulled down on an average player sunderland paid £1.5m for 2 years ago.
