who do we haveann/Delaney/Ramage/Mariapa.

is that enough experience at the back ?

maybe it is.So then lets go out and look for young up and coming centre backs ie Harry Maguire/Jack Hobbs/Grant Hanley.Maybe the could step up and could be the answer.

i mentioned Grant Hanley a week or so ago and the fact that him and Scott Dann know each others game from Danns Blackburn days
is a massive advantage also.

is Maguire the lad who plays for Sheff utd??

Just because they know each other doesn't mean they'd want to work with each other again or get on.

I think if you've played under Harry you must already know that you don't want to again.

Make of it what you will. But remember, this is Alan Nixon.

Reports now on LONDON 24 that we are Caulker's preferred club, but Queen's Farce Rangers are the only club who have triggered the £8m buy-out clause. This ties in with Crofton's post and the fact that Cardiff may not wish to do business with us!

They have no choice if we officially put a bid in. £8m bid and then its game on IF he wants to come to us.

Could be the issue that Cardiff want the 8mil up front, whereas we are offering to pay it in instalments

Is he worth 8m?! If QPR want to learn no lessons from the past and tony Fernandez refuses to look at Portsmouth and what the delightful cockney did to that club then let them get on with it. We should only bid 8m if Pulis and the board believe he is worth that.

Personally I dont think he will improve the defensive unit...defence was never our problem...and £8M for a player that was relegated and conceded 73 goals is almost laughable.

waste of money...Delaney did not let us down!...ever

Delaney is also 32 and a high risk for injury.

We were blessed with injuries last season apart from minor niggles we had our strongest team available mostly. Should Damo break his leg we don't have adequate cover and it's getting towards the time in his career when his body probably won't let him play 40 games in a row. We need a great 3rd/4th choice CB not just someone who can fill in. If we are serious about improving we should look to strengthen every position gradually rather then just sticking with what we have.
