I'm glad Chelski has been brought back to the forum! It means that he will be another one who of his own accord, who can't out do the Palace fans on this topic! Rather than us needing to ban him to get him to stop! Good call mods.

Again, you're saying the same thing, rich owner blah blah blah, best players blah blah blah, best fans blah blah blah, big club blah blah blah. One point you haven't touched on was your history or tradition, and that's because you have none! Or at least, you don't have as good a history as us. Ok, you won the League 50 years ago, but from then, until the mid-ninties, what have you done? We've been in an F.A. Cup Semi-Final, and Final, and were less than 10 minutes from winning it, we won the ZDS Trophy, and we've had spells in the then First Division, and one season came third?

Until the Premiership, which Sky Sports love, you were an ordinary lower to mid table First Division side at best, and also, just so I can guess which era you started becoming interested in Football, how old are you Chelski?

Oh dear, honestly?!?!?!? History, tradition!!!! Palace better. LMAO

Think possibly you need to do a bit of research before you make yourself look stupid!!

Of course you mentioned the 1954/55 league trophy. However, you 'forgot' the following:

1965 - League Cup winners
1970- FA Cup Winners
1971- European Cup Winners Cup winners

I wont even bother quoting our league positions and runners up, semi finals but lets just say our record is significantly better then one third place, one semi final and a final (which you almost won!!!!!!LOL)Oh and lets not forget the ZDSTPFRS Trophy you did WIN!!

And yes I recall the 'heady days' of Osgood, Cooke, Hutchinson etc etc.........

And I would like to thank you personally and all the other Palace fans ( possibly Ollies Dad Ash?!?!) who campaigned so vigourously to allow me back on to continue with the education of all you Palace fans of what its like to support a proper football club with a long and proud tradition , and of course one with LOTS of trophies.... (oops there's another grenade!!)

chelski.... be honest...... do you really like Roman Abramovich and what he has done to your club?

The quick answer should be yes.... lots of trophies and attracting great players to your club.

But think about it a bit more and you realise that Chelsea's reputation is slowly going down the toilet. The managerial merrygoround with Benitez being booed and any decent manager distancing himself from the appointment, the Clattenburg incident, Terry and his antics on/off pitch, the way Lampard has been treated?

We had Simon Jordan.. a poor man's Abramovich and he nearly destroyed our club despite declaring he had our best interests at heart.

What is your opinion on all this?

The difference between me an you Chelski, is that I don't have to look up what we've won and nearly won on Wikipedia, whereas in your case, you probably have no recollection before Abramovic took over without looking on the Internet first! By the way, what's Abramovich worth now? Our board is worth an estimated £900M after Jeremy Hosking bought into the club...

Fair points and I will be totally honest. Since Roman arrived we have had massive success and I honestly would not give up anything for the Leagues, FA Cups and that amazing night in Munich. This is not a 'dig', think back to the feelings you had when Palace won the play off finals and imagine experiencing that joy as much as we have in the last ten years- truely amazing.

However, yes I do get tired of the unsavory headlines and wish they didnt happen. No one really likes their club having to deal with the things you mentioned.

In terms of managers, i think that many have been mistakes. I felt sorry for Ancelotti and Di Matteo but Scholari was useless, as was Grant, and AVB. Benitez should never have been appointed but I was pleased that the fans on Saturday got behind the team and didnt focus on that issue, because I have never booed a player or manager.
Biggest mistake was getting rid of Jose but rumour has it he is on his way back.

No the difference is I think before I open my mouth. You made some random assertions that were totally incorrect. You have tried to 'get me' on the 'age old' tradition and history blah blah and I showed you up. Now you are trying our board is richer than yours!!!
Really???????? Seriously?????

Thanks for your honesty... this is exactly what my brother thinks... he has been a season ticket holder at The Bridge since the 70's.

I used to go with him when Palace were away and loved the atmosphere with Ozzy, Chopper et al and The Shed was mental.

And thank you for a sensible question. Heady days those, but thats why we love the game and our club so much-for those moments. The ones you never forget!!

I'll give you one more truely honest opinion. As much as I despice Arsenal and Tottenham I would want every fan to experience what I did in Munich with their team.

Oh and PS I am not your brother in case you were worried LOL
