Is it what society needs? Wouldn't society be better off with more opportunities for young people rather than jobs being occupied by those over retirement age? There are more than enough opportunities. There aren’t enough people to fill them, hence the need for immigration. A labourer doesn’t have to do heavy work. They will have acquired knowledge that they can pass on or take on lighter roles.

We must cut the dole....thus creating an army of new workers who previously took drugs & drank all day. Financially....we also need to re-engineer society such that women prefer to reproduce with employed men, in a relationship.....instead of unemployed drunken losers & Danish Sperm banks. we also need to end the social reproductive apartheid wherein the most successful & educated women pay a heavy price in low fertility. And women who contribute the least to society are often the greatest burden in terms of taxpayer-led childcare. Basically, we need more middle-class kids, more working class kids, and less LumpenProletariat kids. Planned single-motherhood, State-supported.....will be the end of Western Civilisation. Something the BBC will never admit to. Edited by PalazioVecchio (25 Jul 2023 2.55pm)

There is always a need for someone to go to get things, act as watchers, or hold an end. Not everything is heavy work. If you sit in a cab and drive you can do many things.

Physical work takes its toll on the body enough as it is without having to cover for others incapable of putting in a shift.

As for thinking that hard graft deserves you putting your feet up.....I get that, but I heard that even if you work continuous from start to finish (which many won't have) then on average....those contributions are used up after 7 years. Starts to make you suspicious about covid doesn't it. 56 and a quarter, and Paying 4 figures and some a month in stoppages without my employer NI contributions so I reckon mine might be keeping me from a positive stance till I’m maybe 80 by which time I will no doubt be pushing up daisies anyway
